I saw this in a Youtube video that you can make your own lightsaber in WDW but they didn't say where or I might have missed it. Does anyone know where you can do this?

In Hollywood Studios - the store that you walk through when you exit Star Tours. You don't have to ride Star Tours to go in, just trying to give a point of reference. You can also build your own droids.

You can also find them in Tomorrowland in MK... no clue about the store name, I never pay attention to those! But it's a fairly big one, tons of Star Wars stuff, so if you're looking - you'll find them.

In both instances, this was prior to the latest Star Wars additions to the parks, so I wouldn't be surprised if you find them additional places, but those two locations have had them for a couple years now.

Mickey's Star Traders is where you can make one in Tomorrowland.

One of the best souvenirs for the kids, priced well (for Disney) and a great toy.

Mine loved doing this and they are a souvenir that doesn't just get thrown in the closet. There was quite a line up at the HS location. If I could do it again we would have just done it at DS but we went early in our trip and they weren't really sure that was what they wanted. We want to encourage good decision making and not just get everything that catches their eye. It was about as long of a wait as going through the FP line for ST.

We saw this on exiting Star Tours. Line was pretty long outside the shop. DS4 wanted to build one but considering he's 4, we knew he'd forget about it pretty quickly.

They also have Build a Droid at Tatooine Traders, where you can make Astromech toys from parts, and even give them mickey hats and other Disney themed parts (they are in scale with the typical 3.75" Star Wars figures).

The line at DHS is always crazy.

Also (and I don't know if it matters), there was an option for pink light sabers at MK and not DHS last time we were there (and yes, I am thinking about getting a pink one).

If you go early in the morning or dinner time the lines at Tatooine tend to be shorter. I'm biased because I used to work there, but I love the atmosphere at that store in particular.
