Make A Wish Sends Lauren to Disney World! * IT IS FINISHED...* *Updated 1/28/09*

Great update!! I love 50's, it is one of Bill's favorite places to eat. I think they close One Man's Dream early because people don't go to it later in the day :sad1: :sad2: . Everyone should go to it at least once, Walt is the reason we have WDW after all.

Yeah, I think 50's is one of my favorites, too! It is a shame about One Man's Dream...But we will try to catch it next time!

That's just odd to me. I think that later in the day is the perfect time to visit One Man's Dream. It's a cool, quieter place and a bit of a break from everything else (as well as a great experience).

Exactly! :)

It's like a got a present for the new year!

A Maroo update! :woohoo:

Aww...you are so sweet! :)

Hon, I appreciate that you can laugh at yourself. I had a similar incident one time when I was in college. Walking across a bridge, didn't see the ice all over it, feet went out from under me and I landed square on my but. And then I laughed, and laughed, and laughed. And a couple of girls walking by asked if I was okay, and I said yes through my laugh / tears.

Bless your heart!!! That is horrible! :)

And how sweet that Lauren was glad she could help you. What a dear!

I'm glad you liked Prime Time. I haven't been there in years, but we had a great time there once with my mom and my husband (who was my fiance at the time). They gave him such a hard time, it was a riot!

Thanks for the great update, I loved it! :goodvibes

Lauren is a sweetheart!!!

I loved the Prime Time Cafe! :) We had a good time. And the food was good. We will definitely do that one again!

I am so glad you liked the update! :) I have another one ready...as soon as I can get some time at home to post it! :)

YAHOO!!! A Maroo Update!!!:thumbsup2

That is a hoot with Lauren giving you a ride!!! :rotfl2: She sure has a heart of gold!!!

Yeah...it was a sight to behold! :)

great update
sorry about the hole :scared1:

Thanks!! :) It was pretty funny!!!!

Oh no! You poor thing, how could they just forget about you????? :confused3 They should have gotten you a powerchair!!!! Just because you are so wonderful! :thumbsup2

Well, at least Lauren offered to help you! How sweet of her! :lovestruc

Then, you fell over???? :scared1: Oh Mary, you poor thing! Please tell me Lisa, Richard and William all came rushing to your aid before they started laughing??? :confused3  That really couldn't have helped your poor back! I'm so glad you were able to laugh about it though!

The stunt show is not my favorite. I saw it once, and I feel that is enough. The part with the guy burning really really bothered me. A burning person does NOT equal entertainment in my book. :sad2:

It sounds like Prime Time was a lot of fun!! I really liked it but our waitress, excuse me, "Mom", wasn't really on her game the night we were there! We wanted someone to REALLY pick on us!!! I'm glad someone explained what was going on to poor William before he got too upset!!! So, you liked the S'more? I didn't care for it. Maybe I'll have to go back and try it again!!! :thumbsup2

I love the picture of William at the Star Wars set! I have a picture of Corey on that when he was about William's age too! :lovestruc

Oh, you didn't get to see Indiana Jones!!! I don't care for the Muppet movie. We usually always do it though, because my kids love it. I'm so sorry Lisa or Richard didn't offer to take Lauren so you could see the show you wanted to. It sounds like they had a lot of fun though!!! Was Lauren disapointed that she hadn't joined the rest of the family after she found out her Dad was in the show?

Star Tours would NOT have been good for your back! Good decision to not ride that one! :thumbsup2

It sounds like you really had fun on a day that didn't exactly go as planned! :grouphug:

I can't wait for your next update!!!

Hey guys...

I have a prayer request. William has been having some blackouts? Where his eyes go black for a few seconds at a time. This coupled with the headaches and nausea he has had for months has everyone worried. He went to the doctor today and they are admitting him right now to the hospital.

Please pray for William...and for his family!

Thank you guys so much!!!!!!!

Hey Maroo!

Oh dear....poor William!!! :sad1: :sad1: Hope it's nothing too serious! Will keep Will and his family in our thoughts!! Sending :grouphug: to you all! Keep us posted.

Patty

Update on William...

They have ruled out some "bad" stuff...he does NOT have a tumor, brain bleed, or any visual (eye) disorder that they can see. They are going to keep him in the hospital tonight and may do the EEG (to check for seizure activity) either tomorrow or Monday.

They moved pretty fast...which was good but also made us a little nervous today.

Thank you all for your prayers! It was quite something to walk back in this same Children's Hospital that Lauren spent so much time in this time last year. We were not excited to be back here. But hopefully he will get out of here tomorrow and they can figure something out. They are thinking migraines or seizures at this point.

William's parents are both staying here tonight (at the hospital) and I will be with Lauren through tomorrow. We will get to go to church and go out to eat! Go us! :) And then...it is possible that William will be home tomorrow night, maybe. Hopefully.

I will keep you guys posted...thanks for your prayers!! :)

You know...we were talking about this just last night and Lisa NEVER knew either that they left me or that I fell. :rotfl2: Can we say...distracted! :)

Nah...they were ok! Lauren is AWESOME!!!!

I was so doped up on Advil, Tylenol AND Aleve (one really should not take all of those at once!) that I hardly noticed when I feel...It just caught up with me later!

Yeah...I am sort of the same way...if I never see it again, it will be ok. But I am glad I saw it once, I guess. A guy burning??? Did I miss that? I am not sure they did that this time?

Prime Time WAS fun! We really had a good time. Yeah...I loved the smores!! Yum! I am ready to go back now! :)

William LOVES Star Wars...so that was fun.

Well...this whole trip was for Lauren and her family. I am not always that selfless...really! But I had decided before we went that the whole purpose of me going was to make Lauren's trip the best it can be AND allow her family to be together...so it worked out well. But, it isn't always that way! I make my preference known in LOTS of instances when we are at home. And sometimes I say NO...I can't do this or that... :) Does that make sense??

Yeah...no Star Tours for me!

We did have a fun day!

Thank you for all of your thoughtful comments! You always do GREAT comments!

I spent the afternoon reading your trip report. And I loved it. The rainbow- :sad1: so magical- that is a happy cry by the way.
What troopers you all are.

To get to the end and read about William. Well I am keeping you all in my thoughts. Enjoy your lunch out. They are lucky to have you in their lives.

Oh and Lauren is GORGEOUS! She has the most beautiful eyes and her makeup looked amazing the entire trip!(even after BBB!)Go Lauren!

Glad to hear that the medical people moved fast to find out what is going on with William. It would be awful to be stuck in the hospital for the weekend and have to wait till Monday to start tests, etc. Hopefully he will be home by tmrw!!! Sounds like Lauren and you will have fun tonight and all day tmrw! Best of luck to William. Have fun Maroo and Lauren!:dance3:

Maybe they took it out. That would be good. It's still not something I'd want to see again. That is why I so selflessly ;) volunteered to take all the little girls to meet Woody and Buzz while the rest of my family went to see it on our trip! :thumbsup2

Oh I hope they find out something for William. Poor thing. And all of you to have to be waiting and wondering, what a worry. Hope you and Lauren are having some fun. Keep us posted.

Just a quick update. Writing from my iPhone so it takes forever to type. Thanks for all of your notes and prayers.

William is still in the hospital. The spells are worse today. They are doing an EEG and MRI tomorrow. Lauren and I are at the hospital. Our weather is bad. Lauren goes back to school tomorrow. I will keep you guys posted. And will answer individually when I can.

I am so sorry to hear about William, he will be in my prayers. :grouphug:

Yay for the Maroo update :woohoo: :woohoo:

Whoops-a-Daisy, watch the pot-hole! Poor you, glad to here that all the pain meds you were on took the edge off your fall and I agree with Teresa, how on earth did you even realize that you had fallen? Did some-one notify you???

Becca and David want to see the stunt show and the Indiana Jones, but if it comes down to either or when we go then Indiana is going to win out.

Sorry to hear about William, I hope they find out what is wrong with him soon. Hospitals are the worst, I hate going to them, they just remind of bad times and never good. I think David is actually becoming phobic because now when we have to go he gets into the most terrible moods before and for sometime after.

Wishes and prayers being sent for William

Thank you for reading!! and Posting!! :goodvibes I was afraid I didn't really have many new readers.

Thank you for remembering William!

I am lucky to have them, too!!!

And I agree...Lauren is beautiful! Inside and out!

Yeah...they have been stuck there all weekend...but we found out the "big stuff" on Saturday night, so that was good!

Lauren I will get to have fun for another day or so, it looks like!

ha ha! lol I will definitely give Williambug a hug for all of you! He knows my "friends on the internet" and "the ladies that made my clothes" are praying for him.

Oh I hope they find out something for William. Poor thing. And all of you to have to be waiting and wondering, what a worry. Hope you and Lauren are having some fun. Keep us posted.

Yeah...waiting stinks! And we have a pretty complex schedule...today it involved 4 different people taking care of Lauren...4 different vehicle swaps...craziness!! And she starts school tomorrow. :scared1:

You'll all be in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you!!! I am so excited you jumped over here to read my TR! You have so many going on over there!!!! :)

Hugs. Any new updates?

That is funny...I think I posted one at the same time you wrote that!

I am so sorry to hear about William, he will be in my prayers. :grouphug:

Thank you!! You know how this medical junk is!

Oh...no...I mean THEY didn't know I had fallen...Lisa and Rick. They didn't know till we were telling them the story the other night. I have no idea where they were, though?? :confused3

Glad you enjoyed the update!

You should be able to do both with Becca...if she can hold out and doesn't get too tired. Do you have a MUST DO and a WANT TO DO list for each? I would put Indiana on the must do! :) lol

That is SOOOO weird! Lauren and I were talking about that tonight...how much of a funk we got in just going up there for the afternoon. Lauren was snippy...and she couldn't figure out why till we got out of there. It is that stupid hospital. It was not as bad when William was at the other hospital, because it wasn't the one we spent so much time in with Lauren...especially the PICU part...when she was soooooo sick after her surgery. We almost lost her that night.

I feel for ALL families that have to spend time up there. I hope that EVERYONE that reads this will go and VISIT and take FOOD and fun stuff to anyone that is in the hospital...not just to the patient, either! Caregivers need some lovin, too! :)

I especially feel for families that have more than one sick kid...it is awful to go there with Lauren...but at least it is just her...and now William is up there...just doesn't seem "right" ya know...there should be a quota in each family....one sick child per home. And yet, it doesn't work like that...at all.

Oh poor William!!! My thoughts are with you all!!! Keep us posted when you can! Sending :grouphug: :grouphug: to you all!!!

Thank you. Hopefully we will know something tomorrow that we can update you guys with.

My prayers and thoughts are with all of you.

Thank you!!

Thank you all!!!!! For PRAYING...and POSTING!!!!
