Oh how exciting! Honorary Princess and Mousketeers... awesome!

BTW, hope you start feeilng better soon. :flower3:

:) Yes, it was!!!

Thanks! I hope so, too!!

Whoa, officially dreamed!! How neat!!:woohoo: :thumbsup2

Sorry about your back Mary, did anyone push you in your chair for at least some of the time??:sad2:

Mickey Mouse with all of his hand and arm gesticulations (is that a word:confused: ) sounds funny:lmao:

We want more:yay:

Mandy

Oh goodness...yes! Most of the time Rick pushed me or Lisa...sometimes I pushed myself...but the FUNNEST person that "pushed" me was Lauren...I would hang on to the back of her chair and she would pull me around. She LOVED it...said it was nice to help me for a change. Bless her heart! :hippie:

OMG I am so sorry to hear about your back. We have yet to go to Boma's for breakfast, we don't have a van with us on our trips and it is a pain to get there through the bus system.

I loved the story about the magical moment certificates, that is a great memory.

I understand that...I am not sure it would be worth all of that! It was good...but hours on a bus...maybe not so much.

We had fun with the certificates! :) It was a memory to cherish, for sure!!!

My back is MUCH better. I think Space Mountain did it, honestly. I have always had disc problems...probably not a good mix with Space Mountain.

those are so cool
I bet they will remember that day forever

sorry about your back

My back is much better!! It was a fun time!! :)

Oh, your poor back!!! Back aches are NO fun at all! When I did my outfit a day marathon just before we went to Disney in May, I could barely move the day before our trip! Ouchy!

I loved Boma's for supper. I'll have to try breakfast sometime!!

I love the picture of William at Boma's!

Good thinking getting the wheelchair!

Oh no, someone else was on your CD!

How special about Mickey and the certificates!!!!!

Ok, THAT was MUCH too short of an update!!! Get busy girly!

(Like I can talk!)

I love the Mickey suprise!!! I bet the entire class was so excited!!!:thumbsup2

I loved Boma!! :) But my back was definitely no fun!! But once I got in the wheelchair, I was really ok...it was just walking that was a pain! I didn't have a choice on the wheelchair...there was no way I was walking all day...

Yeah...BUT...the photopass people actually got OUR pictures back!!! I am so excited!! I am finally going to order that CD this week. I need it to add the finishing touches on the TR...and I will probably update the video with the few awesome pics from the photopass!

I love the Mickey suprise!!! I bet the entire class was so excited!!!:thumbsup2

Oh, and to let you know...I just updated this morning!! So back to you!!!:lmao:

It was so cool! and totally a surprise!! The class was really excited and William really needed that boost at school with friends.

And...it is your turn (unless you posted and I missed it....must look SOON!!

Wow, that's a great video...and you picked the perfect song to match your photos.

Thanks for the (mini) update.

Thank you!! Actually...the song was picked BEFORE we left. Before we even knew about the rainbow...the song just struck me when I heard it on the radio one night...and I cried listening to it. Knowing we would have the time of our life. And having NO idea that the song would match so well.

:)

Thank you so much for your comments. I do agree that Lauren and her family are very, very special. Disney Magic is so hard to describe to people that have never experienced it.

I did have my Boma notes in the last regular update, I think. With a few pics. It was a fabulous breakfast!!!

The video is wonderful.....
the pictures........
the way the pictures are arranged........
the song............
everything.
It made me cry (but good crying)

Aw, Sue...you are so sweet. :) It was fun to make. And I have needed my share of tissue, too.

Thank you so much for all that you do!! It helps so many people!!!!! :)

If you ever want a video made for anything, you can send me pics...I would love to help you make one if you ever want one. :) You have done so much for the disabled...and we appreciate it!

Hey I finally caught up with your trip report. Beautiful as usual. I have lots of pictures of my boys doing poses similar to William's at Boma. I love the video also. I have to comment on Rick's low blood sugar. I am severely hypoglycemic. I also become very agitated when my blood sugar gets low and I can't think clearly at all. It is such a horrible out of control feeling.

You know what strikes me most about your trip and trip report? You had bummer things happen ( like everyone's worst fear-getting sick/hurting your back) and yet you have such a positive reaction to it all. You could have easily let those things ruin the rest of your trip- but still the trip was so magical for you all. What a wonderful person you are- and a wonderful family you went with. The kind of person you are shines through so strongly in your trip report.

You have totally made me cry!!! I needed that! You are so sweet.

Yeah...I probably should have included a good argument or something! :) I am sure we had some! :) We didn't have a good attitude the whole time, I assure you. Impatience was a problem on my part...waning to GET THERE...and not wanting to just stand around. I went off on that poor CM about Lauren getting poisoned at the castle...:sad2: And got mad at Lauren at least once about her hair/makeup...I even made her cry! :sad2: But, we did do fairly well.

I prayed for that trip for months...planned, but also did a lot of praying...some might look at our trip and wonder why I bothered :rotfl: but I know that God was in all of it! I could tell by my attitude...that He was in control...because I didn't totally lose it. And the wonderful moments were really magnified to us!

Like today...I got totally frustrated at Lauren's power soccer practice...about stupid stuff...just frustrated...and frustrated that I was so frustrated! :)

Anyway...I am not "all that"...that's all I am saying! :)

But I am glad you have enjoyed the TR.

Right now...I am not in the best mood...:( So, I am not going to work on it yet...I sort of have to be in the mood to write... :) But I do plan to get back to it soon!! I have not forgotten! And I will just check up on everyone else until then! :)

I'm sorry you are having a rough day! I think every vacation ( especially one as important as a wish trip) is bound to have a few arguements. I always thought that I would have girls. I often wondered why God thought that I should just have boys. But as the years have gone on, I can see glimses of why. One is I'm not sure I could deal with how emotional girls are- I have a hard enough time with my sensitive boys! But I would be the worst about not being to the park on time waiting for a girl to get ready- we are always in line before the parks open. Luckily, 3 of my boys just roll out of bed, throw on some clothes and are ready to go! Our first full day, my boys were just constantly yipping at each other. I was really losing it with them. Finally, as we went back to GKTW that night, I told them the next day they would have 15 seconds to resolve any conflict. If they were able to get everything under control, without anything escalating into something more, I would pay each of them $20. The days after that I wouldn't pay them any more, but they would lose their $20 if they started arguing again. It worked like a charm. All I had to do when I heard them bugging each other was start holding up my fingers ( I eventually lowered it to 10 seconds) to count off the seconds. Was this the right thing to do? Probably not. I'm sure paying your kids to behave violates some good parenting law! But it was a wish trip and I wanted to ensure as much peace as possible. And it showed our kids that with a little effort they could be together 24/7 and not fight for 5 days straight! I asked my husband on the way home if I had done the right thing. He said, " Best $80 I've ever spent!" I guess what I'm saying is we all have our moments!

Thank you for the well wishing!

I have to tell you a story...

When my little brother and I would ride to Disney as kids...we would fight the whole way. We went every year since my grandmother lived only an hour away from Disney. It was a long trip...about 15-18 hours each way, I think.

My parents bribed us one year...here was the deal: We could only TALK for 5 minutes each hour. The rest of the time we had to be quiet! If we did this, we got $0.25 the first hour...then it would double every hour after that. $.50 the second hour....$1.00 the third...By the end of that trip...we were making some MONEY!! My parents said it was clearly the best couple of hundred dollars they ever spent!

Now, I think that is a little mean...it is much better the way you guys did it. They had to resolve the conflict or you would resolve it for them! Good parenting, I think! :)

I am SOOOOO jealous that you guys can just get up and go! It is such a stark difference in our world...hours...hours...to get there. I never even planned to make a rope drop! They didn't know what that was anyway...if we made it by 9:00, I was happy. And we never did! :) And I was still happy! :)

oh wow! I'm only on page 3 of your report, and I just read about the rainbow and I'm crying. What a spectacular thing to do for Lauren!!!! It's just so wonderful! Ok, I'll stop now and go back to reading.
