Yay, my profile is miraculously working again!

If you don't know who I am, I am Linda, mom to Lydia who went on her wish trip in 2008. We are returning for a visit the week of December 6th to 13th and will spend a day at GKTW. I was just wondering if anyone had heard if they are doing the special tree lighting ceremony with Disney this year at the village? I couldn't find any info on it at their website. Last year it was on Thursday December 11th. Also, does anyone know if you recieve a meal or a meal and one ice cream? Thanks a lot!

If we drive to the parks from GKTW, and I have to leave the park but my brothers don't want to.. can me and my mom get back to GKTW somehow? I know theres busses, etc. in Disney, but do they go back to GKTW?

Does anyone know anything about the dolphin show at seaworld? I think its called imagine?? Can someone help me find times?

There are not buses that take you from GKTW to the parks and back...as far as I know. But I do believe GKTW can get you somewhere, if you need them to. And they can certainly call a cab...not sure if it would be free??

I did not know that they did that! How cool would that be to see!

I think they give you one coupon per person in your family that you can use for a meal or ice cream, but you can also buy an extra ticket for only a $1.00 each.

Lydia is doing okay, we'll get some more answers on Tuesday after the surgeons do their conference call thingy.

I don't think they let people buy Bunny Bucks anymore, that's what they told dh anyways.

Here is the question.....Do we have to use the disney transportation system to get to the port or can we use a limo or rental car. I=When we cruise last year we used a private limo company and we were able to grab snacks, soda, water, beer at the store before we got to the ship. I'm not sure if you are able to differ from the "WISH" itinery? Also can you add days before or after your trip??

We were very close to choosing the cruise for Phoebe and I did a little bit of reading about them, but I honestly don't remember anything specific about transport from the airport to dock. Sorry! It certainly would be nice if you could stop somewhere and stock up... I have a questions for you though...I see that you have been to Hilton Head and I was wondering if you'd share your favorites of that area? I will post the question on my PTR if you'd rather answer there.

Hi Linda, I'm so glad you dropped in because it gave me an excuse to read a TR last night. Lydia is beautiful (Tobias is so handsome too!) and it looked like you guys had a great trip. I have never heard of the tree lighting before. Is it a special December thing or something they do every weekly Cmas party? There are several families here that are going soon, but unfortunately that won't help you! I hope you'll post an update when you get back.It would be fun to see how the kids have grown.
P.S. My family toured Scandinavia in 1984 (!!!) and I fell in live with Norway (even though my relatives are in Denmark!). I was convinced that someday I would live there. I have about 5 rolls of film of fjords and I still don't get tired of looking at them.

Just wanted to add that our best friends just showed up at the door with pink roses ydia's favourite) and "letter" from Mickey saying he missed her and wanted her to come back and 5 DAY DISNEY TICKETS!!!!!!!! Is that crazy or what??? I guess they are really broken up about what we are going through with Lydia and all the unknowns for the next year (plus having a baby in June...), but WOW.... I am just speechless. It cost them a small fortune... Crazy, just crazy.... Anyways, just had to share my intense joy!

Oh that sounds so exciting! We are going on our Wish trip December 3-9th and extended the dates through the 12th. I hope they do the tree lighting ceremony sometime during our trip. We would definitely return to GKTW for it! Thanks for sharing the pictures!

I'm going to order some clothes for our trip but as we are leaving in just 6 days, I can't guarantee it will arrive in time here at home. Can I have soemthing shipped to Give Kids the World Village and will they be able to then get it to me? And if so, how would I need to address the package? Thanks for any information you can help me with!
