Ok I just re read this again, where can I pre order it? So do I still have to collect 10 photocards or do I get just one? I am sorry that I am confused...
GKTW will give you all each a lanyard, and one plastic pouch to attach for the GAC. I had a couple of different photo pass cards. I would tuck them into the plastic pouch behind the GAC so they were easy to get to when I saw a photographer. Don't worry though, you can put in multiple photo pass card code numbers for your CD.
A tip I saw on the Disboards is to use your digital camera to take a picture of the back of your photopass so that you have a record of the code number. If you were to lose it, then those pictures are gone for good. You have to have the code to access them. Disney does not have a way to find them for you.
I also took digital pics of the parking signs so I could scroll back through the pics on the camera, and easily find where we had parked that morning. For everyone with really young kids, Wendygrace had the idea to take pics of her kids every morning so that if someone got lost she could show Cast Members what they looked like and what they were wearing that day. Fortunately she never had to use it.
The photopass cards at Disney are thin plastic - kind of like a temporary
AAA card or something. The ones at Universal are paper (something good to know ahead of time on soggy days). Universal doesn't have a CD offer like Disney. You have to purchase the pics at the park. It is kind of like school pics...package deals with wallet sizes, etc. Before our trip, Wendygrace let me know that Universal gave GKTW guests one free 5x7 photo at each photo location. When we were there, the sales clerk at the Men in Black reiterated the photo gifts. Not all the clerks know that though, so if you really want a particular picture, you may have to call in a supervisor when you pic it up in order to get the free 5x7. (The Universal Team Members are not as well informed about GKTW guests as Disney Cast Members are. Things, like ride access, take a little longer, but they do accomodate everyone. )
Some of the attractions at Disney that have photos ops do not have them on photopass. TOT and Expedition Everest were ones we had to purchase seperately. (less than $20).
Oh, and one of the BEST photo pass tips I got was to revisit locations at different times of the day. The picture in front of the castle/Mickey's sorcerer's hat, etc. looks completely different during the day and during the night. The night shots are really nice (and some of my favorites.)
