It is with a very heavy heart that I write this morning.

Some of you guys may not know Jonah, as his trip was in November 2008. He has been sick and his mom, Becca (bex271) has not been on as much recently.

Jonah passed away Friday, March 13. He pulled his trach out in the middle of the night. His visitation is tomorrow (March 18) and his funeral is Thursday.

Please remember Becca and Kristian in your prayers...and the rest of their family.

Jonah's Wish Trip - Pre-Trip Report

Jonah's face just lit up whatever room he was in! But his parents are hanging on to wonderful memories, especially from his Wish Trip.

Jonah's face just lit up whatever room he was in! But his parents are hanging on to wonderful memories, especially from his Wish Trip.

Ssitting here in tears. I posted to Becca's thread. This is the hardest part of becoming family here on the Dis. When a child passes on, it just rips your heart out. Holding you all dear in my heart.

StefaniLyn, I can help you with the scrapbook if you like - if you need diecuts or letters of the cricut for example. I've made a few pages for wish trippers - one of the other Disney fan websites had scrapbooks as a project this last year - the goal was 100 finished books, so I did 50 of each page that I made.

My cover page was "our central Florida vacation" because of course you go other places besides Disney.

A two page spread called "What a bunch of Characters" could cover character characters, or the ones you actually live with.

Another double page spread was "It's a jungle" and featured animals, but could contain photos of Animal Kingdom, the jungle cruise, or the crowds.

And finally a double page Splish Splash, which could contain water ride photos, pool or water play area photos, or even seaworld photos. Let me know how I can help you!

Wow! 200 pages?!?! That's incredible! They sound beautiful and I'd love to scraplift them if you don't mind. Do you have photos of the layouts that you could send me? I'm going to start a folder on my computer for Disney scrapbook layout ideas. Maybe our next trip won't take me over 2 years to finish the album!

As ya'll know Tyler had his EGD yesterday. They did find that he has helicobacter pylori bacterial infection. Also they took 8 biopsies of abnormalties they found in his stomach and duodendum (sp?) areas. The Dr was quite concerned about these. He said his stomach was so inflamed that it would totally retract when the scope would barely touch it. He was leaning more toward Celiac disease the cause of the areas in the duodendum but said the spots in the stomach area could be anything from ulcers to Gastritis. They didn't really look like Ulcers in the pics but he explained his stomach is extremely inflamed and infected. he really got aggravated when I told him i have asked Tylers pediatricians for 4 years if they could test him for H-pylory since that is what I was diagnosed with and he had a lot of the same symptoms. He said Now it is extreme and could have been so much better if caught earlier.
We find out the results of the biopsies on Mon. Tyler doesn't know about the biopsies. I figured why worry him. He was crying in the preop room because he was so sorry he was sick now. he said Mommy I like being your healthy one. You need help with Dad and Braeton. I just about lost it! I've always bragged on the way he helps me but I never meant for him to feel like he HAD to stay healthy or he wouldn't be a help.
Anyway Thanks for all of you that have been praying for us. Please continue to. I'll let ya'll know Mon what we find out.
Today is Braetons fun day! He gets fitted for new Braces today which is his Favorite thing!!! He loves the feel of the plaster. He calls it the OOKY GOOKY stuff!

I am sorry to hear of this. It boils my blood to hear of kids that end up much sicker then they need to be due to a pediatricians negligence..MY DD is one of them..I hope that they can figure out what is happening and help him feel better..

The cultures came back and he has Salmonella.

The treatment is...nothing. They can't really do anything to help him. They said it usually runs its course in 14 days. We are on day 8. Poor thing. They don't give antibiotics, because they say it makes it all worse instead of better. They will put him back in the hospital, though, if his potassium gets way out of whack again. So he is trying to drink more.

Just wanted to let you guys know!!!

Yipes!! I'm glad to hear they have found an answer, even if it is a scary one! I hope his symptoms begin subsiding soon so the little guy can feel better!

From his point of view he is feeling horrible and now they tell him after all of those tests he is going to feel horrible for 6 more days.........poor kid!

Glad they actually found out what was wrong and even though really not nice at least not life threatening once the docs know about it and know what to look out for.

I still feel bad for him though

Yes he did. It's called Tornado. It has sky blue, dark blue, green, red, yellow and white swirls. the main color is the darker blue (Thank God) And though he wanted red straps i talked him into the dark blue straps. Normally I make him stick to the blue designs because they go with so much more and I do dress him up quite a bit for church. Although he has had the flag braces twice. But this time I was like go for it. These are the shorter AFOs inbetween the ankle and the knee length kind. But if he's going to have to wear them might as well make it fun!!!

Thank you! I've been so frustrated here lately. I knew something was wrong but it has taken months to get them to do anything about it. And even then the Dr let me make the decision to go to the GI now or wait. She said she would rather wait and see if the new meds worked. I said I would prefer to go and FIND out where it's coming from!!! I used to be so laid back and quite about stuff like this. But DH and Braetons illnesses have made me the proverbial mother Bear!!!

Oh Poor thing!! That is not fun!!! But i am so glad they found out what it is!! Will be keeping him in our prayers still for a quick recovery!!

1. How do you start a pre-trip report.
2. How do I get the PTR added to the list of wish trippers.
3. How do you add pics?
I do not have access to a regular computer but am working on getting one. I have been reading past trip reports and am excited to start one of my own.
