I've always liked Barney's,they're based out of Orlando but their locations have been dwindling or being transformed into Starbucks (I think they actually belong to Starbucks now)There's still some locations around Orlando so I usually try to make it out to one.I think there's one in the Loop shopping center as well as the shopping center by the Whole Foods on Sand Lake rd and Turkey Lk rd.I'm not a huge Starbucks fan it always tastes too bitter.

Um if you are flying please consider that the morons in the TSA may consider your coffee maker and will definitely consider your grinder to be a weapon. Come on these are the same guys who think paper is an explosive device!

I hate staryucks but if that is what you love more power to you. I have this strong feeling that I don't want my caffeine burnt off of my coffee beans. The lighter the roast the better. Less burnt = more caffeine. Its why I drink the stuff in the first place.

I have read a lot of people whining about the coffee at WDW. Then they complain about no Starbucks on the property. That's no problem for me, Starbucks, or as someone aptly put it "Charbucks" over roasts their coffee and over brews it. I just don't care for it at all. I grind and brew my own. I purchase fresh roasted beans from specialty coffee roasters. Its not a big deal to grind and brew at your resort. Grinders are small and inexpensive. So are French Press coffee brewers. Water can be heated in the in-room coffee maker. If you just can't make it through day without another hit, go back to your room and make some. Or lower your standard a notch and get some in the park. But enjoy your vacation and quit looking for something to whine about.

So, I will tell you....I drink coffee.

I will also tell you that Disneyworld can't brew a cup of coffee to save it's life.

Okay, there was the Kona Cafe which had an ok cup and there was the one other cup I had at the entrance to the Animal Kingdom. But every other attempt to get a good cup of coffee failed and some times in horrible fashion.

Not only is it bad in Disnyworld but driving from Macon Georgia all the way to DW there was not even one Starbucks or any coffee house between.

I'm not gonna take the entire blame on this one. A portion certainly, but come on Florida, really, how hard is it to make coffee?

My tip.

Prior to entering Florida, make sure you stop somewhere to get an extra tall super venti latte/coffee to tide you over for the week. To help tide you over for that week, bring your own coffee and maker, cuz unless you like gas station coffee, you are scr*?!@#ed.

I am not a coffee drinker so tell me how u like yours. Exactly what kind do u buy at home and at Starbucks? Macon Ga here too.

Every time I visit WDW, I leave the same suggestion in the box in city hall on Main Street.....Please put in a coffee shop!!!! I actually talked to one of the "suits" about repurposing the old skyway stop in Fantasyland into a Mrs Potts tea and coffee shop, but he said it was too steep for wheelchairs......so how about a simple coffee cart! I know the whole Nestles thing, but can't we just have 1 ?......No luck so far!

I'm from the land of Dunkin Donuts. I drink my coffee black. I seldom enjoy a cup of coffee at disney. We stay dvc, but miss the days when they used Maxwell House individual packs. (pre packed in filter). Our stays with this coffee even turned me onto buying these packs at home.(hard for dh to mess up a pot if it's premeasured & he adds the correct amt. of water. If you like weaker coffee simply add more water, stronger cup add less water. They still use the prepacked coffee, but no longer Maxwell House, just not the same. I now bring my own pre-measured, pre-packed MH coffee & brew it in the room. : may well be worth the dvc dues.

I am also from Dunkin Donuts land, and we bring our own coffee (Dunkin Dark Roast mixed with Original blend) AND - just as importantly, IMO - use spring water in the coffee pot instead of tap water. As long as I can have a couple of mugs in the morning before heading out to the parks, I am a happy camper.

My family laughed at me so hard on our last trip. After 8 days at Disney, the first day we went to Universal I saw a Starbucks sign, and came out with a venti in each hand....all for me.

Me three! The frou-frou ones are pretty good but for a good honest cup of morning coffee....bleeech. Tastes burned and dirty.

I always take a bag o beans and a grinder, and my own pot.
But the pressed pot at AKL is very, very good.

Last year we stayed at ASMU and I packed in our checked luggage a 4cup coffee maker in it's original box and packing. It traveled well. Our trip next month we are cruising after and I do not want to have to bother with a coffee maker so I will be taking VIA and some disposable coffee cups. I will use the microwave in the food court. As long as I have a good cup of coffee in the mornings I should be able to survive the parks with no coffee. However, I will take a list of the 'good' coffee places at each park, just in case.

Since I was old enough to drink coffee, I drank it black. Then for the last few years I began to drink it with cream and now prefer it that way. I never claimed to have a sophisticated pallet and I love my Charbucks! As a matter of fact I prefer the dark roasts, no, I prefer the Sumatra, and I like it extra strong and with a touch of steamed milk or heavy cream. (That is if I can't get my Latte.)

Which is worse, whining about the coffee, or whining about the people who whine about coffee.

that's funny... A few years ago we landed in Detroit after a Disney trip and the first thing we did was get coffee from Tim Hortons.

We usually bring our own coffee or stop at a store for our in room coffee during the week. We don't get coffee in the parks, just Mickey Bars and Itzakadoozees. (don't know if I spelled that right)

Coffe drinker here <extra large/skim milk/w shot of coconut flavoring--they have unsweetened coconut flavoring which I simply adore> but I degress....the singularly worst cup of coffee that I ever had and spent money on was....drum roll......the Norway Bakery. Good grief, it was just barely recognizable as coffee. Are there no coffee drinkers in WDW management who recognizes that this is a real area for improvement

I thought I had it hard as I am not a coffee drinker but a diet pepsi drinker and everywhere I go there is the nasty other brand. At least I can bring in my own to the resort and enjoy with little hassle.

Good luck all you coffee drinkers, perhaps you should ban together and demand Disney learn how to make the good stuff.

I remember the coffee at the resorts in the early 80's being fantastic. I used to get excited about returning for the great coffee. That was before the Nestle contract.

My technique is to start drinking the coffee made at work about two to three weeks prior to our trip (good ole Folgers or Maxwell House). After that, WDW coffee is excellent! Stopping by a Publix or other store and buying your own favorite beans also works great.
