Major Question That's Got Me Stressing!

I was dialed in at 7 on the dot. Lucky for me it took about 10 minutes of waiting and my call was answered by a very helpful CM. I already had a 11 day/10 night booking at POP and had no dining included originally. I told her I wanted to update my reservation to include the FD promotion that was being offered. She asked if I was a visa card member and I said yes. She never asked for the promotion code, just the first 4 digits from the card. Then since I originally paid teh deposit with a diff. credit card, she had to credit that card and re-charge the deposit with the disney visa. Finally, she said everything was set and I had the dining. My confirmation/reservation number did not even get changed. So, upon hanging up I waited a few minutes and began thinking to myself, what if she messed up or something and it didnt go through, I have no new confirmation, so how would I ever know. So I logged into my online account at the main WDW site. I put in the reserv. num. and all that and it came up. It did show the new 200 deposit charge that she just did, but the rest of the information on the reservation was not saying anything yet about dining at all. So now I am stressing and do not want to call back now and wait in line just to verify. I will do that later, but just figured I would ask if anyone has any ideas. Do you think it will post later, or has anyone experienced the same thing (like not having dining at all on their existing reservation, then calling and getting free dining and it not showing up right away under the online copy of the reservation)
 
Last year it did not show my changes for a long time and I don't know if it ever showed the free dining portion. I would be VERY, VERY surprised if it was showing up yet since you just made the changes today. Don't panic. Just wait until the commotion dies down and call to verify. They will be sending you paperwork showing the changes.
 
Just a guess but if they needed to credit one card & charge the other I would think it would require a new reservation number. I would call back just to be sure.
 

Yes, I was not sure about that. As of now on the WDW site, when I log in it says I have paid two $200 payments right now. so my balance is lower than what it really will be once the credit goes into effect. She said it might take 1-2 billing cycles for the first 200 deposit to credit to my other CC account. I guess I will just wait until later and call when it is calmer. I am just worried I could call back and they would say, we don't have you down for it and there is nothing available now. I would be crushed as I had to have been one of the first to dial in. Fingers are crossed!
 
I booked a new reservation this morning with the free ddp code. The reservation shows up online but no details as to free dining package. I'm sure it will show up eventually. I think we are OK.

Don't worry too much about it not showing up online yet. When I called to tell them my plane arrival time for ME and pay on my trip, they showed the deposit right away but the ME didn't show for a couple days.
 
Mine last year never read MYW with dining at all. It did on the paper copy I received though. You may want to call back to verify.
 
you have no idea how relieved I am to hear from all of you...now i can actually sit at my desk and do some work.....been stressing all morning...thanks again for all the input
 
the cm I spoke to did the same exact thing. No new ressie number and all of what you have mentioned. My info does not show up on the site either except for the new charge. Last year dining was not stated on the site either so I am not worried. I did ask for a conformation to be mailed to me, last year it was on the conformation they mailed but not on the site so dont worry.

To put your mind at ease just call later in the afternoon to confirm :goodvibes

The exact same thing happened to me--I had put a deposit down on Mastercard, so CM had to credit that and then charge my Visa for the $200.

I also have the same confirmation number--I asked her about three times if it stayed the same, and she said yes.;)

I'm pretty sure we're fine. Won't they send us something in the mail within the next week or so?

I hope so, I will call back this evening to request an updated confirmation letter...figure that is my best bet....they probably would send one out anyway don't you think?
 
Last year it never said anything about the dining portion of our package on the website.
 
Mine doesn't show up online yet either. I had the package booked originally and called to apply to free dining, the only thing that has changed online is the balance due.

nope, they dont do that anymore (popbably to save the trees) when you make a change on an exsisting reservation and since thats what you did you will need to request one. The only thing you will get if you have not paid in full is a bill which does not state all the little details of the reservation.
 
I'm glad I am not the only one paranoid. I also did the same thing and didn't see anything online. Then I went onto the chase site and my card hasn't been charged yet. Hopefully they are just so backed up that they haven't started charging the cards yet.

I guess I will call back later this afternoon to confirm everything.

Did anyone else check to see if their cards were charged yet?
 
The dining isn't going to show up...I have free dining which I booked during the bounce back promo. My dining stuff isn't in my info online. It is on my paperwork that they sent me though. So, relax....it will be just fine.:goodvibes :thumbsup2
 
I"m worried as well!

I already had a package booked, including DDP. I called to give the code to get the dining free. I had already put $200 down on my DV when I booked awhile ago.

When I checked online, the price was reduced, but nowhere online does it indicate that I still have the DDP, whereas my original confirmation said "Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining". I thought it was possible that somehow the price went down not b/c the dining was now free, but b/c it was somehow removed from my reservation!!!

So, I got back the phone, sat on hold again forever. The said she didn't know why it didn't show up online b/c when she read my reservation it said I had the dining plan. I was so relieved, I forgot to request I be mailed a revised confirmation. Right now, I have no paper that show both the reduced price and the fact that I should get dining. That makes me nervous. Could show up at check in and have them tell me I didn't get dining...I wouldn't have anything to prove I was entitled to it. So....I will get back on the phone AGAIN :rolleyes1 and request a written/emailed confirmation.
