Mailing package from beach club

My son mailed a parcel via usps from the lobby of the beach club. How long should it take for the tracking number to update on the usps site? How long does mail take when sent from hotel lobby? Has anyone had any issues sending packages via lobby of resort hotel?

At least 2-3 days.
Tracking won't update until the package is scanned at a hub. Post office calls it "origin center" or something similar. It used to track once it was at the post office you dropped it off at, but post office stopped counting that for some odd reason...

Not Beach Club but I shipped some items I purchased as a gift for a friend in Missouri while staying at the GF on Wednesday night (07/05) from the upstairs gift shop there and they told me it would be 18 business days before it arrived at its destination. I hope that helps settle your mind a bit.

I wouldn't panic just yet. The last time I shipped a package from a resort lobby (Yacht Club) I was told to allow extra time for processing. The CM explained to me that all outgoing packages from all resorts go to a central location to be sorted. It took almost 2 weeks for my package to get where it was going.

My son is concerned because the tracking number still has not been scanned by the usps. Not sure if this has something to do with the central processing

It probably hasn't even been mailed out yet. Give it a week and then if you don't see it, email them.

Never, and I ship stuff home a LOT from Disney resorts. Just last month my partner and I shipped our droids and Savi lightsabers from the Poly gift shop to two separate addresses, one of which was international. We each received our boxes about a week later. Hers took slightly longer, only about a day or two. But that's standard shipping anything from the US to Canada. You also have a holiday to slow the process. Just be patient and if you still haven't heard anything after a week call them with the tracking number.

Did you try emailing them? And are you sure that they mailed it with it being tracked? Maybe they just mailed it out without getting a tracking number.

I don't know how frequently they send things to the central processing center, it might have been moved on the 3rd, or it sat there until the 5th.

My son inquired on the 3rd amd it was already gone from the bc

Not directed at OP, but for anyone who is following along:

If you are staying at a hotel like Beach Club which has a convention center, you can go over to the convention center and have things shipped out from its business office. The last time I did it, they shipped it out by FedEx or UPS. I can't remember which, but I don't think I had a choice. They were even able to provide a box and pack it up for me.

USPS does not pick up every day on Disney property.
The 'new' strategy of usps is to pick up/deliver PRIORTY mail first*/ only .


at least once , maybe twice, a week my neighborhood gets no mail.

I get a picture of my nail each day so I know if it is coming or now.
