Has anyone gotten mail at a resort before?

We will be at BWV in late Oct. and would like to receive our voting ballots for the Nov. election. After Disney we will be on the road, and not back home until the day after the election. My county will mail ballots only outside of the county (or you have to be disabled or over 65) and they can start mailing them as early as tomorrow. So my thought is to give them the BWV address and hopefully they can hold them until we get there. Then we can vote and mail them back. We have a few other possible addresses, but we shall be at BWV the longest.

If anyone has any experience with mail I would appreciate any advice. Also I assume I can call them and get the best address. I can even inquire to them, but I thought I would start here.

Thanks

You would have to somehow show your arrival date or reservation #. Without that, it would be difficult for them to match up your name.

I was out of town on business during the 2008 presidential election, I was able to go to the county office building and get an absentee ballot (I live in PA) and fill it out right there or I could have mailed it back.

We will also be "in the world" at a conference over election day. Vote early (not often) before you go. Reality is that a vote cast by mail-in at election time only counts if there is a tie and they have to wait to count the mailed in votes before declaring the result.

Just seems like your vote means more if you register it on or before election day than if you mail it in so it arrives late. Yes, it's still the same single vote either way, but how do you feel if they "declare Ohio" for a certain candidate, knowing your ballot is still sitting in the Orlando USPS?

NO we would return the ballots by mail at least two weeks before the election. Early voting starts here Oct. 22, we leave the 15th. There is no absentee ballots only mailed ballots. I am not worried that it would not get back in time, I would be mailing it around Oct. 22, which would give it nearly two weeks to get back, and I was assured that the votes would be counted on election day.

Not really concerned about the Presidential race, but would like to vote in a couple of close local races. If I call BWV can they hold mail, or I can try and plan to have it mailed while we are there for 7 days.

With thousands of resort guests, I don't think your chances of getting your ballot looks good. It would have to be mailed during your reservation window and mail at WDW goes to a sorting center on property which can cause delays.
