Maiden Voyage Announced for Destiny

So they do both sometimes and Nassau and mix in Cozumel. Exact itineraries they always do and are currently doing. I'm not sure what point your trying to prove.
I was just responding to your post? I'm not trying to prove any point. I highlighted the destinations for anyone that's just glancing quickly through the thread.

Brillant!

The MV reflects what Destiny will offer, as did the Fantasy MV did a 7-night W Caribbean cruise before starting its cycle of 7-N cruises.

And I especially like the idea of some 2-island cruises thrown in. Five-night to Cozumel for those who like that destination. I was hoping for a CC+LP on the Wish, but the possibility of pushing it off to the Destiny, out of Ft Lauderdale with its airport - hotel - port set-up is sounding really nice.

Perhaps this MV and subsequent sailings of 4-nights is too short for some, but I imagine it will be full. Yes, vloggers - and Floridians, in addition to die-hard DCL fans. Are they getting weary already? There are those 4 new boats coming in rapid succession this decade. If interest in a third Triton class ship is waning, DCL is in for a rude awakening.

Thanks for the announcement!

I don't think the cost of a MV is worth it. Spend more money just to say you were first....no thanks. There also seems to be a lot of problems with the MV's. I'd rather do a new itinerary on the older ships......then again I'd rather do any itinerary on the older ships than the Triton class.

DCL needs a large ship home-ported and sailing year around out of Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale) along with a second ship seasonally in order to meet their contractual passenger counts for the new terminal. They signed a 15-year contract that requires 10.6 million passengers over the contract. https://disneycruiselineblog.com/20...rt-everglades-for-second-year-round-homeport/

Misleading - the contract does not require passenger counts. Port Everglades is offering DCL an incentive package and if DCL carries 10.6M passengers, they will receive maximum incentives.

DCL has reduced the number of 7n sailings, so no reason to believe they’ll reverse that.
Have they? The Fantasy is still doing it's 7-night sailings and the Treasure will take over from there. The Wonder is still doing 7-night sailings in Alaska. The Dream is doing mostly 7-night and longer sailings in Europe. That seems about normal to me.

Definitely fewer. In 2026, Wonder is doing a single 7n itinerary from San Diego and just two (well, one’s a 10d Holiday) from Australia. When DCL first began serving LA/SD, it was entirely 7n but the number has dwindled over the years. The Wonder also did numerous 6/7n from Galveston.

The Magic has been doing a number of 7n from Galveston/New Orleans and San Juan. In 2026 there’s just a single 7n itinerary and the spring San Juan have been dropped entirely.

We shall see… What is sad is it is looking to me like it is possible the Wish will be the best of the Triton class - it is disappointing to me that they didn’t reassess some of the problems with the Wish before building the other two…

Will be curious to see if the Japanese Triton Class improves some of the maddening issues with the Wish.
what do you consider problems with the Wish? just curious

I think the biggest problem is the lack of a large adult pool area compared to the Dream/Fantasy Class
I also think they may have been able to have a walking deck around the ship - something on the Magic and Dream class ships.

Small venue sizes (sitting on floor for trivia). Little movie theaters instead of the Buena Vista full-size movie theaters on MWDF. Very closely placed tables in some MDRs. Loss of the wrap-around, one level, outside Promenade.

So...just making sure I'm not missing anything here...they *still* haven't announced the actual itineraries/schedule yet, right?

Not on the website yet. Usually, I think we see dates and itineraries, but not prices, before booking windows open.

Your question (and others) sent me on a research chase. I now have a reasonable expectation (other than prices) of what they will offer.

I’m assuming we will get the itineraries and opening prices either tomorrow or Wednesday since bookings for pearl open on Friday.

I am wondering the same thing. I emailed my Dreams agent last Thursday and she said we should get an email by Friday with the itineraries . Nothing yet, I'm starting to wonder if Dreams is having problems and I need to find another Travel Agency. I've booked almost 40 Disney Cruises through Dreams but it seems like things are taking longer and longer with them.
