The family, DW, DD age 5 and DS age 4 are going to HH for the first time the second week of June. I need your help with two questions?
1. Do I need to make any reservations in advance for any activities and if so how? eg priority seating for Chef Mickey at WDW must be made in advance.

2. Will no-see-ums be a problem and what is the best remedy?

Thanks all
Todd

The only HH activity that you can reserve this far ahead of time would be Chef Gordon's "A Private Affair". Other than that, the activity schedule won't come out until the Friday before. (The activity schedule runs Sunday to Saturday.) You can ask to have it faxed to you if you're still at home on Friday and can call in advance if you want. Otherwise, just head right over to the rental desk after you check in.

Todd-
This will be our 3rd year going to Hilton Head the first weeks of June. We have not had problems with no seeums. You can sign up for activities once you are there. They never seem too crowded. Great time of year to go. But, it is very hot. Maybe we'll see you there.pirate: princess: ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo

We just returned from a wondeful trip to HH. We were there Easter week so it was very crowded. I believe you can sign up for activities that require a fee in advance (i.e the Friday before), however you can only sign up for the free activities one day in advance. I would recommend calling HH the Friday before you arrive (as Disneyalholic suggested) to sign up for any activities that cost money. There were several disappointed people who were unable to participate in an activity because it was booked. So sign up as early as they allow you to.

Call the front desk a week before to get that week's schedule. For the most part each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc has the same schedule of activities. You want to get a peek at your upcoming week.

I have not had luck trying to book in advance, which I guess in all fairness is a good thing. BUT, do not hesitate to sign up once you are checked-in. DW usually runs right over while I unpack the car. The summer we didn't DD and DS missed two of their favorite activities. They are already planning their Tuesday campfire, Wednesday pizza and movie (read- Parent's night out alone,) and seeing Shadow & Blue on Friday morning.

Don't worry about bugs - remember its Disney :smooth: !

Have a great trip.

Thanks for the tips. We will be making our first official DVC trip in June also. Only about 8 weeks to go! ::yes::
