MagicBands required for Memory Maker ride photos?

If we get Memory Maker but not MagicBands, will we still get those ride "action" photos? If so, is it picked up by our phones (do we need to do something special for that)? Thanks!

You need to turn on Bluetooth on your phone and allow your MDE to connect to it, which will allow those photos to link to your account.

Sorry to hijack--as long as we have our MDE and magic bands connected, and bluetooth connected to MDE, we do not need to do anything once we get off the ride? Our photos will automatically show in our memory maker?

We've done the phone routine and it still didn't get photos. Some of us have fairly new MagicBands and still didn't get some photos. We used MagicBands to hit the tap points at the end of some rides and still didn't get some photos.

I don't think there is any guarantee anymore. Lucky for us we are regulars and it's not a priority.

I agree with @HopperFan - you have done everything you can to get photos to link to your account, but there are no guarantees that it will always work. I’ve used the Lost Photos section of the PhotoPass website many times over the years, with great success - I’ve been amazed at how diligently those CMs will look for a photo until they find it. PS the Bluetooth link was not at all dependable for us a year ago. I hope for better results on our next trip, later this summer.

We do too! It started when the Bluetooth link came into being, I think! We get photos of strangers but not of ourselves. Hopefully the linking tech will improve over time.

We also got some photos of people we didn't know. Our best guess was they were in the car in front of us or behind us and perhaps some kind of timing issue on how photos get stored. It was funny to see a car full of people we didn't know and would all say 'who are those people?'.

Less for ride photos but for photographer photos that didn't end up in our I've also had great luck with the Lost Photos service.
