MagicBand testing

So I was able to link my PAPs about a month ago, but now nothing shows up, and when I tried to enter them again, it tells me to call. This is so frustrating!
 
How long before a reservation do the bands get sent?


If it's any indication, I got two sets of bands today (split stay). One for the part beginning October 15, and another set of bands for the part that begins October 19. 2-3 weeks, it seems.
 

We are still waiting to see if the testing is extended through November (nov 2 - nov 9 trip).

My question is related to the shipping address of the magic bands. Our party has 2 families, will everyone on the reservation get their bands shipped to me? Or do the bands ship to the address tied to the MDE profile address?

Just curious, not a problem either way...
 
Hello, we stayed at disney the day after Labor Day and was given the bands they were nice to use no credit cards and no money any where on disney touch and a pin #

That's terrible, I feel your pain. I also get the message to call. I called only once and was so defeated after that call, I've not called again. The CM/IT told me there was a glitch in the system and there was nothing she could do for me. Since the system says my AP number is "an invalid number" it would be nice to know if someone could take a minute and look it up and see if it wasn't entered into the system wrong. If you call and get help, please share, I need some incentive to call again.

It depends what the address is on each reservation. I booked 2 rooms, one for us and one for my daugther and family. On my daughter's her home address is listed. Both orders came up on my own account (MDE) and I process each separately. On mine I confirmed my own home address and on hers I confirmed her home address. I've gotten mine and hers is due to ship to her home in a few days (she arrives a week after me, so her package is later than mine).

Seems that would be a problem if, as mentioned, the MB's will eventually get you on the magical express bus. Plenty of times different guests are coming from different locations. Especially it you are staying in a DVC resort that sleeps 8 or 12.

have you tried scanning the ap's from the smartphone app? That worked for me on one of my kids that just wouldn't let me type it in online. For me the smartphoen app entered the AP instantly whereas the other AP's I entered on the web took minutes or hours to show up.
 
We are at WDW using the Magic Bands. So far no problems. Won't visit a park until Thursaday so we will see. How do you use the bands as a fast pass? I have my fast pass+ reserved but what do you do once you arrive for the fast Pass ride?

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately the green exchange PAP that we got in May at the Odysessy Building (after turning in our paper PAP) has no barcode or scan box. I did try to scan anyhow, but didn't get anywhere. The ticket has to have a barcode or the square box for the scanner to work.....but thanks for thinking of me!

we got lucky and made out last trip before they were swapping out at the Odyssey. Sorry couldn't be more help.

Doesn't matter. Every person will see the same order for MagicBands. All bands for a reservation will be sent to a single address.

I'm very happy that we never made it over there to do the swap. My PAP on the old paper stock linked up easily.

So what number are you trying to link - the one from your old paper? I'd have thought it would be a new one when they issued the RFID.

that's a bit of a mess I think longer term. I suppose add it to the list for them to fix later.

So if there are multiple MDE accounts who's shipping address do they use? I assume the person that made the reservation but dont want to assume anything with Disney IT....
