:wave2: I tried searching the forums but couldn't find anything. We just booked our first Disney stay (YAY!) and I had a question about the magicbands. We have the option to customize ours now for our room and we will be linking tickets later, but I was wondering if there was a way to cancel certain magicbands. I have friends that live in Florida and wanted to see if they could pick me up a couple of the special magicbands (stitch, ariel, tinkerbell) and use those instead of the plain ones. Only thing is I don't want to deal with multiple magicbands for each person. If I buy the special bands and link those first, is there a way to cancel the complimentary free ones you get with the resort stay? Thanks :)

You should receive the complimentary ones before you leave, so you could simply leave them at home. You can also inactivate them via MDE. But it doesn't hurt to have more than one available for each person in case someone loses theirs - they're interchangeable. You can leave the extras in the hotel room.

No need to cancel free MBs.

There's no need to deactivate a MagicBand. They all work interchangeably, so you can just leave the complimentary ones at home if you wish.

All MB stay linked to your tickets, not just one. No reason to unlink. I probably have 15 linked to my ticket. The nice thing about having your resort ones in your bag is if you happen to lose one, you have a backup without purchasing. I always have an extra set in my suitcase.

Sounds good. Thanks everyone! I just know this will probably be our only family trip (I'll be going back of course) but we're going to end up with about 15 magic bands so I was trying to cut down.
