MagicBand + Partial Day Ticket - Question?

Hey all, I have a question about something I've never experienced before, but I'm sure the DISers can assist!

I'm heading to WDW in a few weeks for an annual conference I attend. Per usual, my husband will fly down when my conference is wrapping up, and we'll spend a long weekend at the parks. I already purchased our park hoppers so I could reserve FP+ for our few days there.

I realized the other day that this year will be my first time going to the conference solo (usually my boss goes with and we spend our first afternoon/evening before the conference hanging out at the monorail resorts and shopping and drinking, but this year she was unable to attend). DH was "meh" about going to MK this year because he wants to focus more on DHS and DAK, so with his blessing I went through my conference ticketing page and booked an "after 5 p.m." meeting/convention ticket for myself, figuring I'll hang out in MK that first night when I'm on my own before the conference begins.

My question: I have that 5 p.m. ticket and my regular full-day park hopper tickets all linked to my Disney account. When I scan myself in at MK that first day solo after 5 p.m., will it automatically know to use that single ticket and not my full-day ones?

Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you!

Go to a ticket booth or guest relations before entering the park and have them prioritize the After 5pm ticket to be used first.

Alternatively, create a fictitious "you" in your MDE account (use your middle name, nickname, whatever), and move the regular ticket to that "person" (yes, you can move tickets around as long as they haven't been used yet). That way, when you go in after 5, only that ticket will be attached to your account - your band only knows the "real" you. Anytime after you've entered MK, you can then move the regular ticket back to the "real" you, and I'll be ready to use after the conference.

Of course, none of this may actually be necessary anymore with the advent of the date-based tickets. Your park hoppers aren't actually valid until after the conference, so it seems unlikely that the system would even be able to use them instead of the After 5 ticket.
