Magicband + on DCL

A DisneyBand+/MagicBand+ will continue to work on-board the ship even if the battery is fully depleted. With a dead battery, it's functionally equivalent to your KTTW card. With a dead battery, your DisneyBand+ can still open your stateroom door and charge purchases to your shipboard account. What they won't do is interact (face changes colors) during the fireworks display.

Ok. That's fine. I probably only need it for what KTTW card would do anyway.

we are on the Wish next week, just got our Magic Band+ for our WDW days before cruise. They are linked to our park reservation, do we need to somehow link them to cruise?

If you log into your cruise reservation it should have a section labeled connected guests. Mine lists everyone & their mb+ they have connected (WDW bands)

This is what I’m curious about too! I know that it’s only officially rolling out on the Wish this summer, but I’m curious about how it works. Like…is the technology already there for the magicbands to work on the other ships? Is there a possibility that after summer we will see it on the other ships too?

The rumors were the Fantasy was next up for late July but we heard the Wish info more than a month out so (We sail 7/29 Fantasy)

Rumors were Wish then Fantasy then Magic (all sailing from Florida) then Dream when it returns to the US then the Wonder last but it’s been awhile since anything’s been mentioned so who knows

Oh I hope they do the Magic too! We’re sailing in September and my kids hate the lanyards and manage to lose them fairly frequently. They seem to like the Magicbands though. Go figure.

I’m on the magic 7/29 as well! Would love MB+ to work for our sailing. MBs are just so logical for cruising.
