Magical Gatherings ??

Hi all,
Dh and I are planning a trip to WDW next year and most of his family wishes to go with us. Has anyone out there used the Magical Gatherings option? If so what are the benefits of using it? There will be possibly 17 (Only 2 of us have been ther before) of us, would it be worth it for us to use it?

We did a Grand Gathering in 2004 with DH's extended family. By registering your group as a GG you are given access to some special trip planning tools, exclusive events and merchandise. Here is a link to some info on the WDW site:

We did a MG this past July. 12 of us. Fun, but hectic. We received some perks. If you do it, make sure you book the Lagoon Cruise with Captain Hook and Peter Pan. It is only offered to MG groups. You have a fabulous chocolate buffet and then take a lagoon cruise where they stop so you can watch Magical Wishes at night. It is awesome. The kids loved it. We had breakfast and dinner booked for every night together and it was fun. A lot of running around. My DH, DD, DS, and I have been every year and so we were the ones everybody wanted to stick with. We did Mickey's Backyard BBQ, Hoop Dee Doo Revue, and Cirque De Soliel. Everything was great. Enjoy.

What is the cost of the lagoon cruise?
