What exactly comes in the mail from Disney to show I'm taking magical express from the airport,
luggage tags and ???
I haven't received anything but not worried, plenty of time.
I'm still 4 months out from vacation, but wondering what I should be looking for.

IIRC, there's a little booklet with some 'tickets' to tear out. Of course, the last time I used DME was many years ago, so things may have changed.

What they send out now is a standard sized business envelope that you won't miss because it has a big Mickey on it and is plainly marked on the outside. Inside there will be a letter with a barcode and each person and their flights listed at the top. It also has some airport and other info on it as well. In addition to the reservation page you will get one yellow airline-style baggage tag for each person. This will alert DME staff to pull your bag at MCO and deliver it to your resort.

What has caused confusion for some in the past was the luggage (as in name address phone number luggage tag) tags Disney sometimes sends with your "Mickey Mail" with your resort reservation, vouchers, etc. These have nothing to do with DME.

Look for your ME package any where from 45 to 30 days out from your trip. If you haven't received it by 21 days out, you might want to give them a call. And, only use the yellow tags if you want ME to deliver your luggage to your resort room. Expect luggage delivery 2-3 hours from the time you land. If you don't want to wait for your luggage, don't put the yellow tags on and pick up the luggage yourself from the carousel. Bring them to the ME bus with you and they will load them underneath the bus.

Just a slight correction....you can expect your bags, in your room, up to three hours after resort checkin...not 2-3 after you land. If you start counting from the time you land, it's going to be more like 4-5 hrs! It takes, on average, 70 mins from gate to resort. Then add another 3 hrs to that before bags could get to the room.
Just don't want any disappointment.

That's the usual time frame. I booked DME back in January and the DME letter/tags came about 10 days later- for our November trip. I'd definitely call them at the 45 day mark if you haven't received it by then.

Disney use to send you a booklet with your luggage tags as well as "tear out coupons" good for passage on the DME bus. The booklet also had info on where to go at the airport for the DME desk, etc.
The booklet apparently is no longer as I just got my envelope and all it had was a one - two sided letter with the DME info along with my luggage tag. No more coupons as everything is now on your magic band, so be sure to have your magic band handy when you check in with the DME cast member.
