Not sure if this is the proper forum for this question...but here goes.

My husband and I will be traveling to Disney in Sept. with our daughter. She will be 17 months at the time. :cool1: :cool1:

If we take the Magical Express from the airport to our hotel (Poly) will we need a car seat? Or will she be able to ride on our lap?

Also, what is the average waiting time for the ME at the airport? Do the buses run continuously? Meaning, if we miss a bus, will we be required to wait for 1-2 hours for another one?
How long is the ride to the Poly?

Have never seen car seats on any Disney transportation so I think you're okay on that one.

Relative to how long you will have to wait, I was told that the buses run (pretty much) consistently.

My daughter flew in two days after we drove in and she used Magical Express.

She called us as soon as the plane landed. She made her way to the Disney desk at the airport. She called again when she got on the bus (about 15 minutes later). The Magical Express bus pulled up to the Caribbean Beach Resort just a short time later. In all, it took her approximately 45 minutes to get off the plane, check in with Disney and arrive at the CBR.

We went to our room and freshened up and went to the Hoop Dee Doo Review. When we came back to our room, her bags were there. So within three hours from arriving at the Orlando airport, her bags were delivered to our room.

Not bad in our opinion!

I don't think you could even use a car seat...if my memory serves, there aren't any seat belts on the bus.

When we arrived, the wait was minimal. They will group together different resorts based on how many people are going to which ones. Many buses were sitting there waiting to go. When I talked to a CM about when to schedule an ADR for dinner on arrival day, they say to allow 2 hours in your schedule to get from the airport to your resort.

I highly recommend ME. It was really easy, no messing with luggage, they take your bigger carryons into the cargo area. The bus is a nice luxury touring style bus. They show a video welcoming you to WDW on the bus (keeps the kiddos entertained). It was clean and comfortable. Hope you have a wonderful trip.:goodvibes

No car seats on the bus, if you have it for the plane you will be able to put it under the bus with luggage and take it to the resort with you.

We have always been very happy with ME, have used it 3 times. We have arived early in the morning and late at night. The longest we waited was about 10 minutes to board the bus and get going. We are usually at our resort under an hour after we have walked off the plane. You will probaby be waiting at your resort for checkin longer than ME.
