Let's start a list of Magical Express Questions, then as folks experience the service, those questions can be answered.

My two questions are as follows:

Late night arriving flights. How long does it take for your luggage to arrive at your resort?? This is important for me, as I'm camping at Ft. Wilderness, and my luggage will also include my bed and my roof!!! While I have set up as late as 1am, I was driving and had my stuff with me at the time.

Early AM departures. Since the luggage desks at the resorts are only open from 6am to 2pm, will I be able to check my stuff the day before for a 5:30am flight the next morning??

Any more questions?? I'll add them to this thread, and when the service cranks up, I'll try to add the answers too.

I'd think I'd "forget" to put ME luggage tags on the bag with my tent and sleeping bags. Let them put it under the bus. You really need to know if your airline lost your luggage before you leave the airport and you really don't want to be waiting even an hour for your luggage to be delivered for you to set up your tent.

How could you check your tent and sleeping bag the day before you check out?

Actually, I'm not worried about the airlines losing my luggage at all. I fly on a commuter flight out of a fairly small airport directly into Orlando. EVERY time I have taken that flight, I have always seen my luggage on the conveyer belt into the belly of the plane through the window at the gate.

Just curious about the length of time I'll get to spend at Crockett's relaxing  before setting up.

I'd call after ME begins. It's one thing for a bellhop to drop off your luggage in a locked hotel room and it's another to just drop it off at an empty camp site. FW might have a different process than other resorts. In your case they can't put your luggage in your room because your luggage contains your room.

I have booked my trip thru AAA and because we are spending one day at USO and IOA it was more economical for us to do a 5 night package and then a 2 night room only reservation. My question is: Will WDW give me a problem if I use Magical Express 3 3 days after my package ends? The AAA agent said no, you can use it anytime, but I am nervous that since it is part of the package that it will have to be used within the package days.

Hey deepher! You just had to make sure that you have your 1st segment of your Magical Express reservations tied to the package, then the return segment tied to your room only ressie. My in-laws are doing this because of a split stay. Their MCO-Disney segment is on the confirmation for the first resort ressie, then the Disney-MCO segment is on the confirmation for the second resort ressie.

If you are staying at a Disney resort, you can use it. You don't have to be on a package. Now, if you are moving to a Universal resort, then that is different....

Must be new, every report says SOG is EXCLUDED from ME. BAGS, the company handling the airline resort checkin, has done resort checkin at SOG but I don't think that means SOG is part of ME.

SOG is NOT included, but if you have an overflow rate from SOG for a Disney resort, then you are eligible. We are using an SOG overflow rate at the Poly in May, and we're using DME.
