Our flight will arrive at MCO at 7am - we want to go to Boma for breakfast after our redeye flight and have that scheduled for 10am. Anyone know if Magical Express has a set schedule or how long we can expect to wait before departure from the airport?

Thanks.

There is no set schedule for DME buses. There's also no set grouping of resorts on each bus; that is, there's no set routes. In general, for any given bus the resort closest to MCO is let off first, etc. Generally speaking, reports have been it takes 60-90 minutes to get to resorts, but again that depends on sveeral factors.

You don't mention if you'll be staying at AKL. If you are, then you should have absolutely no problem checking in, etc., and then getting to Boma by 10:00 a.m. However, if you're staying at a different resort, you'll be cutting it close time-wise, because after getting to your resort on DME you'll have to get to one of the theme parks and then from there take a bus to AKL, and that all takes precious time.

The other option (if you are not staying at AKL) , if you are not taking any bags with you, would be to take the ME bus over to AKL, eat breakfast, then go to your resort and check in.

Problems.....

Don't know if they would do that, you would have to call. Maybe if you explain the situation.

Your luggage would get to your resort before you even check in. Don't know how that would effect things.

When we took the ME the end of October, it took us 90 minutes to get to the resort. Checking in and getting on the bus didn't take long, but there were 4 resorts on one bus and we were the 4th to get dropped off. If people take their luggage with them, it isn't just dropping people off at their resorts, but the driver has to unload the luggage as well.

Thanks for the replies.
We are getting there so early, we can't even check in until 11. So we were planning on just taking the shuttle to AK for breakfast then going to check in at our resort - CSR - after. Our understanding of the ME is they offload the bags and deliver them to your room at the resort so we don't have to get to the resort the same time they do. Is this inaccurate?

If you don't have too many carryons and/or don't mind taking them with you to Animal Kingdom Lodge, I don't see why you couldn't ask them to drop you at AKL instead of CSR.

After you finish your meal at Boma, you could then grab a quick bus to Animal Kingdom, then a bus over to CSR and check in.

I was really tempted to try this my last trip. I had no carryon. I thought about asking to be dropped off at one of the Epcot resorts and just walk over to Epcot instead of checking in, but it would have been after 1am before I got back over to POP, and I wanted my resort ID, so I went to Pop first.

(Edited to note, I see that someone else suggested the above).

Another suggestion, if they insist on transporting you to CSR instead of AKL, then once you arrive at CSR, drop your carryons with Bell Services and skip the checkin line and head straight for the Animal Kingdom bus.

Just a FYI - we have checked in before 11:00 many times. It doesn't mean you always can, but if the room is ready, you may check in early.

I would assume they would just hold onto your luggage until after you ate and you checked in. I would just make sure that when you check in they know that your luggage probably arrived before you did.
