Magical Express Question

We will be staying at Kidani for two days before and two days after our Disney cruise in January. Following the two day stay after our cruise we are planning on renting a car at the airport and doing a little touring. Can we take the Magical Express back to the airport even if we are not taking a flight that day?

Yes but you can rent a car at or around WDW.

If you use DME to return to the airport, do not use RAC for your luggage. Take the luggage on the bus with you.

Thanks, disneynutz! It would be better for us to rent a car at MCO so we can return it there for our flight home. I believe that some posters have said that in these situations you should give DME a fictional flight number to get you to the airport on your check out day. I'm pretty much of a rule follower, but if this is what is generally accepted I would like to save the taxi fare from Kidani to MCO.

DME is paid for by our dues. So there is nothing wrong with using it to get to MCO even if you are not actually flying. The only restriction (which applies to everyone) is that your trip to/from MCO can't be outside of your reservation check-in/check-out dates (on or between is okay).

You can pick up a car at WDW and return it to the airport, check if any fees are added.

We sometimes get a car at MCO, and return it to Alamo at the Dolphin since we are staying at BWV.
