Hi, all you Magical Express experts --

This is our first time using ME. We got our luggage tags but they have no flight information on them. I called and Disney said that won't be a problem. Has anyone ever had luggage tags with no flight info on them? Any problems?

Thanks.

You luggage tags don't need any flight info on 'em. It doesn't matter. The only purpose the yellow tags serve is to alert MCO baggage handlers to the fact that the bags are going to WDW via the DME luggage truck. They will be scanned at several points along the way. The scan will show the resort and guests name, with reservation number.....all they need to know. Your home airport will put on the usual destination tags. No need to worry..it's all good.

Even if your arrival vouchers didn't have any flight info, it would still be fine. DME doesn't really care what airline you are arriving on or what time. They just need to have a general idea.

It's the departure vouchers that need to have the correct info. That is the info used to plan on the timing of your DME pickup.

Thanks for the quick response.

I hate doing things when I don't know what I'm doing!!!! It's bad enough I haven't flown in 10 years, now add in DME for the first time and I'm all turned around!

It'll be ok! :flower3: Disney pays a lot of attention to the details. You can just put your brain on "auto pilot" and let them take care of the rest!

Check out some of the threads about flying too on the transportation board. Lots of friendly folks are ready to answer your questions about flying!

Just wanted to add that you'll also get luggage tags from your airline with the flight information on those. They'll put those on your bags when you get to the airport. They are different from the ME tags. As the PPs have said, the ME tags tell the folks in Orlando to which resort the bags go.
