Magical Express??? plus other questions

First the back story.... I have been to WDW more times than I can count, (annual pass holder) but this time will be the first time I will be flying in and not renting a car. I will be traveling with my 5 year old niece for her first visit. It has been a while since I have traveled alone with a preschooler as my youngest is a sophomore in college. To further complicate the situation this is a last minute trip - the first week of February.

1. We are not checking any bags, just gate checking a stroller, do we just walk straight to the magical express area?

2. Since this is so last minute will our travel documents and luggage tags and magic bands arrive in time? If they don't how will this complicate things?

3. We are not taking the Magical Express back to the airport, (family is picking us up on check out day) will our resort hold our luggage if we go to the park that day?

4. Our flight arrives at 11:30 am, what time should we expect to be to be at our resort? All Star Movies - my nieces pick. Will we have time to visit any park that day?

If you're not checking any bags you don't need the luggage tags. They are only so that they recognized checked bags coming off the plane.

You will be fine under the circumstances you described and your DME documents will probably come in time. If not your magic band should work to check you in for DME but if they don't you will be directed to the check in desk to obtain a voucher and even that takes under 5 minutes!

You'll carry them. You'll load them on the bus, or carry them on if small enough, and take them off when you get to your resort. You can leave the bags with a bell hop, and you can call down to have the bags delivered to your room when you're there. Keep in mind that bell hops do expect tips.

How will my carry on bags get to my room?

As with all carry on bags you will have to bring them on the bus with you and then eventually to your room.

The bus driver will store them under the bus and retrieve them for you when you arrive at the resort, if your room isn't ready bell services will store them for you at the resort. Unlike using the DME luggage delivery tipping is not included when you carry your own bags.

When you check out, you can leave your bags with bell services and pick them up when you are ready to leave.

You mentioned "Gate Checked Stroller" That YOU will be responsible for getting. It is actually a carry on in the eyes of Magical Express, it won't go through the normal luggage system. You will likely want it right away for a park anyways. Make sure you get it back from the flight crew before you head out to get the magical express bus.

How will my carry on bags get to my room?

You carry your carry ons to the ME bus and the driver will store them under the bus. He should be tipped for this service when he gives them to you at your resort. If your room is not ready you can store your carry ons with the Bell a Services staff. Once you are in your room you call down to Bell Services to deliver your bags. They will not be placed in empty rooms like DMEbags will. The Bell Services staff member should be tipped when they deliver to your room
