Magical Express - Pickup Now 4 Hours Before Flight Departure...

We flew home from Disney last Thursday and had no problems. When we flew down the previous Thursday morning, right after the "incident" in England, it was a disaster. We were concerned going home that there would be a change in the pick-up time for ME because we had an ADR for a late breakfast at Chef Mickey's on our last day, but there was no change.

We had a 5:05 PM flight and we got on the ME bus at 2 PM. We were at the airport by 3 PM. We were flying Southwest and couldn't check our bags at the resort, but we found a very helpful skycap who helped us get checked in. There were no problems with the security lines, although DS (9) had a Disney cup filled with candy from Chef Mickey's, with a cover, and we were asked about a dozen times whether he had a drink in it! The lines moved quickly and we were through in no time.

Our flight was delayed due to some bad weather, but other than that, it was smooth sailing, errrrr, flying!!

We flew out the afternoon the current plot was announced. My wife woke up and saw then news and immediatetly called and requested an earlier pick up. The DME person first offered a pick up 6 hours ahead of time, obvioulsy way too early but we were offered another pick upi time that we felt was better, of course the lines at MCO were short and we ended up waiting several hours for our flight, of course it was delayed into PHL, it seems that our flights home are always delayed......

sounds like security wanted some Disney stuff.... this a joke. :happytv:

I also drive to WDW generally- this time flying. SW had $49 one way....(still hoping for $39.)

I don't live quit as near as most of you - but can do drive it with stops in around 10 hours.

Sure wish SW was a participating airline. Would love to get rid of that luggage at 7am for that 5 pm flight and not have to worry about it again.

you know SW doesn't join anything - even when it is to their advantage....

disney responsible for lost luggage.....instead of the airlines who lost it.

Go to WDW and NOT go to the Magic Kingdom????? Blasphemy, I say!

Guess we'll just have to wait and see..... :teeth:

Have a great day!
