Magical Express - cancelling

We signed up for Magical Express and have received our luggage tags already but we have decided to rent a car instead. Do we need to call and cancel the Magical Express?

I have a similar scenario. However, I'd like to let Magical Express still transport my luggage. Any issues with that and us not showing up to the bus? I assume no since the two (people and luggage) go separately to the resort anyway.

There a sticky thread above that addresses this; do note, however, that Magical Express is a people transport service with luggage delivery being a perk to prevent the buses from being inundated.

You do not need to let DME know you aren't using them. You can call them if you want to, but it really makes no difference to them.
