Magical Express and flying SW???

When you fly SW I understand I can;t do the hotel check in for teh return flight BUT when we take the bus back to the airport,,,,do we have to take our own luggage and then wait in the long sw line to check it in??? I would have gotten boarding passes prior at the hotel lobby 24 hours before??? just wondering how it works when flying SW....

Yes you still have to check your own bags at the desk then take them to one of the 3 TSA areas at the SW section.

We had a helper cart them down for us then they just stacked them at the front of the line until we made it up to them. Best $7 I had ever spent.

This because the ME bus drops you at the other end and down a flight from the SW area thats all the way at the end of the terminal.

We have on several occasions just taken them ourselves with no problem. But we ended up with a few extra bags this trip making it a bit tougher.

We just got back last week and we flew Southwest with 6 checked bags.

When we arrived at MCO on the Magical Express, we had a helper load them on a cart and then he took us to the Southwest line. He looked at the long line and said, "You can wait there or you can go to the curbside check-in" which was just outside the door and had no line. We opted for curbside. Easy peasy!

One good thing about SWA, is that even if the line looks HUUUUUUGE, it moves VERY quickly. I've never waited more than 15 minutes, even with the line flowing halfway down the terminal.

We usually have a rented vehicle so we do curbside checkin and then DH just takes the car back while I wait inside for him. However, we may do a last minute trip in late May and if we do, we won't be renting a car so the above info is very helpful. We won't have much luggage since it will just be the two of us...probably just one small checked bag and one carryon each.
