Magical Express and Carry-on luggage

Hi all, this will be my first trip to use Magical Express and I had a question.

In the case of carry-on luggage that we take with us to the Magical Express, will it need to be stowed under the bus or is there space for it at our seats (under the seat, overhead, in our lap)? Thanks!

It depends, if you take a rolling suit case carry on more than likely it will need to be stored. If you have just a purse or small backpack you can probably get away with having it on your lap. Just remember it's about a 20-30 minute ride from MCO to your resort on property (not to mention if you board early it might be longer) so you want to be comfortable so if your bag is heavy or odd shaped or bulky it might just be best to store it under the bus. We've had our stuff stored many times and it always worked out alright!

Roller boards and other larger carry-on bags will go under the bus. A tip for the driver of $1-2 per bag for anything they put under the bus for you is customary. Smaller carry-on bags can go at your feet or there is limited space above the seats.

I had a small "boarding bag" that I just put on the floor between my feet (disclaimer, I'm short and don't need much leg room). But, if I'd had anything at all bigger than that, it really would have needed to stow under the bus.

We're using ME for the first time on our next vacation also. I hadn't thought about carry-on bags on the bus until reading the op's post. The carry-on I'm useing fits in the overhead bin on the plane. Will it be best to put it in the iuggage compartment, or can I carry it on the bus with me?

There aren't overhead bins on the bus like in a plane but you can put things under the seat or in your lap.

I always take my laptop bag on the bus with me. Anything too much larger than this would better off stowed underneath. I would say if the carry on would fit under your seat on the plane then you can easily fit it on the bus.

Anything bigger than a backpack would probably be more comfortable for everyone if you stored it under the bus.

I often go to WDW using carryon baggage only. BUT....when that happens, that bag has to go beneath the DME bus. There is no way that bag is going to fit on the bus. Sure, if there are empty seats, you can put it there, but that's kind of rude. If I have checked bags, then I usually have a largish tote bag with me on the DME bus. That goes on my lap or at my feet.

I would plan on putting any larger carryon bags beneath the bus, and tipping the drier appropriately.
