Magical EBTA 2017

We're researching flights. Sadly, we will not be on the next cruise, but we're going to do a couple of nights in Iceland.

this will be my 5th disney cruise and my boyfriend's first. Have always noticed the fish extenders and researched it but never participated, would love to participate during this cruise. if and when anything is set up for that!

yes count us in!

Well, we have made travel plans! We bought Icelandic Comfort Class tix home, and will spend 2 nights in Iceland. We booked a tour for the full day. Last week we got hold of an Iceland travel book and DH had decided on a hotel, and there was room, but today he was told it was booked, so he booked his second choice, a Raddison. He also booked a tour that was recommended in the tour book.

How are the rest of you doing with planning?

How about on board? Will anyone be setting up mixology or other tasting classes for The group?

We will have our then to be 8 YO DD who believes the FE is the reason for the cruise. As we get closer, and if no one else takes the reigns, I will organize a FE group catered to the wishes of the participants.

We use FEs to pass out goodies that come from our area. We've gotten bags of flavored popcorn, and cheese straws so it is not always candy, but it is fun to get back to your cabin and get a surprise treat! We usually print out something from the Internet explaining something of the history of the treat. I will keep the number of cabins in each group under 12. On one cruise there were only 3 participants, and last year's DVC Member Cruise we had 32 participants, 4 groups of 8!

Hi Everyone!!!! My husband Rod and I will be sailing with you all!!!!! We are from Maine!

We just came back from the Iceland/Norway. Thinking we may stay a couple of nights in Iceland, if not Copenhagen. Decisions, decisions.

Bobbiwoz....how excited I was to see you on here, it's been years!!!

We have wonderful memories of that BWV trip so many years ago!!

Did you notice that we stay overnight in Copenhagen? I missed it at first glance!! Looking forward to meeting you! aloha, Karen and Ron

Oh yes Bobbi we loved Iceland!!! We did the 8 hr Golden Circle Tour with 16 other people on a private bus. I wish we had more time to spend in the national park at the European Plate. It was fabulous!!!!

For the half day we went to the Blue Lagoon which was interesting and nice but for the cost and the issues we had would not do it again.

And yes..Karen....the full day in Copenhagen was one reason to book this. Been to the city twice now and flew out immediately both times. Was your husband a Coastie? My Dad was,

Is this group working with the one on another "popular social media site"? I'm a member there with a huge list of others and they have FEs, CEs, postcard Es, seminars etc all in planning.

Also Rod and I hope to find some dining table mates :-)

Bobbi my granddaughter Nicole just turned 21!!!! She's heading into her last year of dental hygiene school.

And Katie spent a semester in Jordon. She is interning with a relief organization this summer.
Which dining do you have? We would be interested in forming a group.

when do we think the FE will be organized by? i'm eager to start stashing things away.

Haven't read through all the posts yet, but my husband and I just booked this cruise. It'll be our 10th anniversary on May 25th, and we were thinking of having a party in Disney (we got married there) but decided to do this instead! It'll be our first transatlantic cruise, but 9th cruise on Disney. And we'll be doing it without the kids! A little nervous about that, but overall super excited :)

What a nice way to celebrate!
We'll be celebrating our 49th anniversary on June 1, close enough to our cruise dates.

Hi Everyone! :wave2: DH and I will be joining you on this fantastic cruise! Can't wait!! :woohoo: This will be our 17th Disney cruise, but first TA. We've already spent 4 port days in Copenhagen and are already looking forward to going back there! :goodvibes

As for planning, we have our pre-cruise hotel booked and are checking daily for airfare. :surfweb: We have typically found the best international flight deals around five months prior to traveling. We pretty much know what we're going to do in Copenhagen and Dover, but will plan out specifics as we get closer to sailing. In Portland, we plan to finally see Stonehenge after passing up the opportunity several times before. Amsterdam and Ponta Delgada are new for us, so we're excited to start researching these ports. The only thing I'm disappointed about is that we won't stop at Castaway Cay on the way. :confused3

Bobbi, we'd love to join the Candy Exchange! Thanks for setting this up!!! :flower3:

I don't join other social media sites for cruises anymore due to a really bad experience with one for a previous cruise. :sad1: Unfortunately, it turned out to be full of people we weren't actually sailing with, which was weird. And, I quickly became uncomfortable with the amount of personal information that those people were able to learn about me. With that said, I would be more than happy to organize a FE Exchange for our cruise, but it would have to solely be done through the DIS Boards. I've organized 12 FE Exchanges on here before that everyone has seemed pleased with. :) My goal is for everyone to just have fun with it. Please let me know if this would work out or if everyone would rather go with the other site.

Only 10 more months to go!!! :yay:

:welcome: You've done a lot of cruising, so have we.

On our 2013 EBTA, we began in Galveston, and did stop at CC. The wonderful memory we have is 2 other DCL ships stopped by CC and blew their horns to wish us off! I still get choked up thinking about it, DH thought it was special too!:)
