Magic Your Way Tickets - Question

Hi

Since we will have our little one with us (who will be about 2 years old) am looking at "Magic Your Way Tickets" with non-expiry - think that leaves us with flexibility (since am not sure how many days we will use - we will be able to use unused days on the next trip

I am not going to bother with "Park Hopping", Because husband and I haven't "Park Hopped" in previous years (by ourselves), so con't see us suddenly starting with a two year old in tow...

My question is about the "Magic Your Way Base with Water Park Fun & More Option Tickets (non-expiry)" - are they worth having?

The Magic Your Way Magic Base with Water Park Fun & More Option gives you admission for the number of days on your pass to:
MAGIC KINGDOM park
EPCOT
Disney-MGM Studio
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park
With the freedom to visit one park per day (i.e. no park hopping), use of Walt Disney World Transportation, plus a choice of 3, 4, 5, or 6* of the following parks: One Admission to Downtown Disney Pleasure Island One Admission to Typhoon Lagoon One Admission to Blizzard Beach One Admission to Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex One Admission to Disney Quest 1, 2, 3, day pass= 3 additional parks 4, 5, day pass= 4 parks 6 day= 5 parks 7 and 10 day= 6 parks

This has confused me a bit . If say we bought a 10 day ticket, that would entitle us to entry to "6 parks". The things that isn't clear to me:
- does entry to the other parks have to be on the same day as a main park or can they be independent? I.e. if you visited them on completely seperate days, you would have 10 days "major" park entry PLUS 6 days "minor" park entry?
- where it says "One Admission to Typhoon Lagoon" does it mean even if you have a 10 day ticket, that you can only go to Typhoon Lagoon once (and once each to the other minor parks) or could you go to Typhoon Lagoon 6 times (because you have 6 minor park entries)?

it can be quite confusing!

If you buy a 10 day ticket you will get 10 days entry to the 'major' parks (MK/Epcot/DS/AK).
If you add on the water fun etc you will also get 6 days entry to the 'minor' parks (BB/TL/DQ etc). You can chose any combination of these parks that you like - including on the same day as major parks
It is worded as it is because there is no hopping allowed with the water fun part of your ticket - even if you pay for the hopper option
(You can visit more than one minor park in a day ie BB and TL - which you can't do with the major parks without the hopper add on - but 2 minor parks on the same day = 2 entries off your allowance)

It is confusing isn't it? Thanks for trying to explain it to me, I think I understand MOST of it now...

If I get a 10 day (non-hopper) pass, then I also get 6 days of the minor parks.

I DON'T have to go to the minor parks on the same days as the major parks (so affectively I could have 16 days - 10 days manor parks + 6 daysa minor parks... with no park hopping).

Those 6 days at minor parks, I COULD use all 6 of those at Typhoon Lagoon if I wanted to.

One last question, presumably the pass DOES only expire after all 10 major and 6 minor park entrances have been used, doesn't it?

Don't know why I have a problem with this, but park tickets just confuse me so!

The MYW passes expire after 14 days - unless you purchase the 'non-expiry' option (yup - more $$$s!)

Oh no, definitely - as I said in my original post, definitely intend to buy non-expiry option
