Magic Your Way Plus Free Dining Details

I just booked that plan too. I was on hold for less than a minute but I called right at their opening time. We're staying at Pop Century 9/11-9/17. I didn't have to give them a code either. I just said I wanted to book the new free dining plan. The CM said oh I don't know what you're talking about. I was like :earseek: And then she goes right away "I'm just kidding!" I asked her if she had received alot of calls already about this and she said I was her first call so it took her a little bit to enter everything with the new deal. Good luck everyone that will be using this plan.

AHHH!!

After waiting for 40 minutes for the CM to try to help me, she finally told me that there was no availability for my dates 10/2 - 10/8 at POFQ on the code.

I am so mad, because I currently have a ressie with a pin for free dining but wanted to use the code and change around the reservation, change park hoppers, add people etc. I just keep telling her to cancel the reservation and start again but she swore up and down, she could modify this reservation, and after putting me on hold for 30 minutes she decided she couldn't then she put me on hold for another 10 minutes to cancel the pin code and make a new one with the general code. Well she came back again, and said I had to book you at POR, because FQ is sold out for this package. I keep my old reservations.

Question to those who have booked - when you get the chance - please can you let us know if there is a minimum number of base ticket days you have to buy to get the free dining?

I was thinking of changing my trip from December to October to get the free dining deal - but we want to stay for the 10 nights and buy less ticket days -preferably only a 1 day park ticket as we will hopefully either have Annual Passes or the UK exculsive 14 or 21 day tickets.
Thanks and I really hope you are all getting the dates and resorts you want,
Claire

As a comparison for my family of 5 (2 adults, 1 junior, and 2 children):

Originally: POR 7 nights 983.00, 5 day park hoppers 1098.03, and 7 day dining plan 875.00 for a total of: $2956.03 (using AAA discount on room)

Same trip using free dining: 2147.42

A savings of: $808.61!

I finally got through. I booked POR from 10/1 - 10/7 with free dining. Since we have leftover days on old parkhoppers, I bought a one day ticket for DD5 and I.

I got through! Pop Century for 7 nights with park hoppers and free dining for my husband, 1 yr old DD and I for only 1078.46!!!!! I'm so excited!

I was just told you needed a PIN, the CM said that she could not even book it for her own family!!!!!!!!!!!! After on hold 30 min.

Fee Fee White, call back and ask for code YMP. It does not require a PIN and is available to anyone. :)

No AP discounts with this. Sorry!

Okay - my kids are going to be late for school if I don't get off the phone!! :)

Does anyone know a rate (or can give me some sort of idea) for the dining package - staying at a moderate, 3 nights, 3 days of park tickets.

Thanks!

Got it, 9/10-9/15....5 nights/6 days with park hopper and free dining at Pop Century for two adults............a whopping $904 dollars....this is great!!!

The best way to figure it out is to figure out how much the dining would cost you. The rate is $35 per person per night (over age 10) and $10 for each kid per night. That is what you would be saving

SOOOO frustrated. Just spoke with my AAA office this morning and tried booking a package for 9/15 - 9/19. She INSISTED that the dining plan was NOT FREE, just the Magical Express trannsportation......... Now I'm on hold with CRO and will have to book the package at rack rate.

Does anyone know how much of the total is for tickets. Let me explain- If we are a family of 5 but I have an AP already do I still have to buy a ticket and if not how much does that save overall.

Thanks

You guys don't give up. I got it and I tried on a land line and cell phone since they were soooo busy. The CM gave me the run around also about it being fake but I give him the code and he put it in and up came the dining for the same price, I'm savinge $560 just off the cost of the dining option plus I have a 2yr dd that will be eating off our meals, so I figure you add another $105 for her meals ($15/day x 7 days) and last year DH and I spent over $500 in 5 days. I cannot even factor in tax and tip and I already have a savings of $665. My DH is more excited then I am about the savings :rotfl:

Don't give up keep trying.

Oh yeah, some asked about room days and tickets, I was on a 7 nights with 8 days ticket and was able to get it.

Sorry one more question. If a family of 5 wanted to stay in a value we need to rooms so I would I have to make 2 seperate reservations or will they automatically book me 2 rooms?

Has anyone been able to get through to AAA to see if they can get the free dining applied to their package?? I finally got through to him, but now he is trying with Disney. I would love to hear if anyone got this.
