Magic - Where is lunch served on embarkation day?

Curious where we can eat lunch when we board the Magic. We are sailing in October out of NYC.

You can eat a lunch at Cabana's (buffet), Carioca's (table service) or around the pool area (quick service : pizza, hot dogs, burgers, shawarma, etc.)

Hi! We are also leaving from NYC in October bound for Canada. We usually get a super early PAT, and we will platinum after this cruise. But, I just booked, so we landed a 12:30 arrival. We bring our own luggage (travel super light) onboard, and we always prefer sit down dining versus the buffet for embarkation. Does anyone know how late Carioca's will serve lunch? My fear is it will be too crowded, and they will be turning folks away.

Sit-down lunch on embarkation day usually ends around 2 - 2:15PM. I've never seen it so crowded that a line formed in front of the restaurant. Most cruisers go around the pool or at Cabanas, even in colder weather. It was the case during our British Isles and Norway cruises the last two years. The MDR was nearly empty the few times we went by during embarkation.

Thanks, Marc. Our past experiences actually had them turning folks away at the dining room, but it could be because it was just early on and a mad rush. I appreciate your post and it's good to know that we should be find to enjoy the peace of a sit down and drink service even if we board a little later than we usually do.

Up until cabins were ready they were turning people away from Carioca's in February. We ate in Cabanas (tradition, plus we don't like the menu in the sit-down) but had wandered and stopped at the restrooms there for my dad. I saw them turn multiple families away while I was waiting.
