We have sailed the Wonder twice and will be on the Magic in May 03. I always enjoyed wandering the ship and trying notice little details. Would like to hear about all the subtle or not so subtle differences between the ships that people have heard about or noticed on their own.

I'll start if off...

The Navigator's Verandahs on the Wonder have larger, oval portals while the Magic has smaller, round portals (learned this from Barb's website).

Any one else?

Really, the only thing I noticed other than decor differences in the promenade was that Ariel replaces the Mickey Statue. Of course, on a three day cruise, it is just not long enough to notice everything!:jester:

the buffet restaurant is called "topsiders" on the magic and "beach blanket buffet" on the wonder (with appropriate beach blanket theming".

Also the chandeliers are quite different in the main atrium (along with the railing etc).

The Wonder has Lumiere's and the Magic has Triton's.

The Magic is art deco and the Wonder theme is art nouveau.

Goofy is painting the name on the stern of the Magic & Huey, Dewey & Louie are hanging from the Wonder's backside.

This is our first cruise and I can tell that I am already confused. I thought that Triton's was on the Wonder and Lumiere's was on the Magic. Glad I was wrong. We will be on the Wonder and I love French food. Guess we will not be eating at Palo's afterall.

Eva, Triton's is on the Wonder, and Lumiere's is on the Magic!

The other difference is the adult entertainment area. It is Route 66 on the Wonder and Beat Street on the Magic. I preferred Route 66 for its themeing. :)

One of the pools is a Cast Member only pool on both ships. So technically, there are four pools but not all for guest use.

I found the Castaway Club returning cruisers reception to be far more elaborate on the Wonder. It was ok on the Magic, but I thought they had a much better selection of hors doeurves and snacks on the Wonder. :)

The pools are the same on Magic and Wonder.....Quiet Cove for adults, Goofy Family Pool, and Mickey Pool. The 4th pool is for CM's

The fourth one is located at the bow of the ship, and belongs to the staff. It's pretty small, but you can look down on it if you are up on deck (9 or 10) looking forward...

Well duh on me, yes I did say the restaurants backwards! It was a test! Yeah, that's it! ;)
Thanks for catching my faux pas!

O.K. another one that I haven't seen for myself yet but some folks on the Cruise Line Friday night chat mentioned. On one of the elevators on the Wonder (one with a glass wall) you can see an Ariel themed ocean scene painted in a kind of alcove. I think it is the mid ship elevators and I think it is above the open atrium level but I'm not sure. Anyway, on the Magic there are different scenes painted there.
