We sailed out of Miami last November. Since it was our first cruise I wanted to keep everything as simple as possible. Flew into MIA the night before. Stayed in the hotel in the airport. Used Disney transportation to and from the port. Very easy and enjoyed the whole experience. Our next cruise is also sailing out of Miami.
