Magic Kingdom Swap - Progress - MORE MAILED ON 4/14!!!

I don't have either cds or scal or anything like that. So what
do I need to do?

Holly -- most of the letters will be close. I wanted all 4 inches to decorate, so that's why played around in CDS to max out the size. You can wing it. Cut it and then measure it and then cut again. Or ask me to check for you before you cut.

I guess I will be recutting everything.... I put the dial on 4 and thought that was what we wanted. So, all my letters are off by about .5 inches.

Susan, all I have is the little cricut, I think you all call it the baby bug? and I was going to use the Mickey font cart for the I in Mickey with a shadow.
Am I going to need to worry about this? I havnt started working on this yet because Im going both barrels on the FEs right now. I wasnt going to start this until Feb but thought I should at least ask you now.

Let's wait for Stephanie -- I didn't mean to cause a panic. I honestly don't think I would have noticed if I hadn't been working in CDS. It was really the C in the Woodland font -- it was so small at 4 inches. Since CDS is isn't a requirement in this swap, I would guess that using size 4" would be acceptable, but it's not my call. However, if you want a true 4 inch letter with the shadow and you don't want to cut it over and over again, I can look it up in CDS for you.

FYI -- the Mickey Font letters are crooked - -so the I cut at 4 inches is 4 inches if you angle it; if it is straight it is shorter. Cut at 4 1/4, the I measures 4inches if you want it straight. I was only looking at letters, not shadows.

Again, I wanted it at the max so I had more room to decorate.

Personally, I don't care if they are 3.75 or 4.5 or whatever. I agree that it would be an easier canvas to work with the bigger it is.

Do not worry about getting the letters exactly 4 inches unless you really want to have that space to work with.

All that you need to do for this swap is set your Cricut to cut at 4 inches. If it adjusts it bigger or smaller, that's okay. You can leave it at that size.

It was just the last thing today- Blame it on hormones (no I'm NOT expecting), getting up way to early, the 2 hour message, and burning dinner tonight! It was a red letter day for me... I'm fine, I just got upset when I realized that I did not have the supplies to re-cut everything.

Scary! I have already started the same paper piecing for my Splash Mountain Altered Letter. Mine are much smaller because they are being added to the letter "S". Great minds think alike!

Thanks! I can't wait to see how yours turns out - I don't know if I'd be able to make this much smaller.. I was freaking out trying to get Mickey's tongue out of the paper... haha.

And it was because of you that I bought the embossing folder that I used on the log...

Rita - the baby bug is just fine for most of our swaps. The Expression is good because we can more of them at once. I can't think of anything we do that NEEDS the Expression.

And one more for the night... Group Q, Cinderella's Fountain: Photo Frame, Journal Box, and paper piecing.

The glue is drying on the crowns, that's why there's a paper clip there. That will not be there in the finished piece.
