On Thursday July 3, the Magic Kingdom is scheduled to be open from 9AM until 1AM. But it's also scheduled for Extra Magic Hours that night! Does that mean I can stay there until 4 AM?

Yes! I stayed till 3am during my last trip, they were open from 9-12am so we got 3 extra hours. really wonderful, especially during the last hour when everthing was empty!

How do you find out when the extra hours that DW is open? I'm not talking about EMH but I think it is called E-Ride Night or something?

They are called EMH now.

e-Ride Nights were discontinued years ago.

E-ride does not exist anymore. It is EMH now.

That is amazing I had no idea they stayed open that late sometimes. Very exciting!!!!:woohoo:

Two years ago, some friends and I were at the World and actually got to experience MK at 4 a.m., over the Fourth of July week. Just like it was mentioned above, the park was open to 1 a.m. with extra magic hours.

We went back to our resort a bit earlier that night and took a short nap, before getting a screaming walk-up call from Stitch at 2:15 a.m. … yeah it is as bad as it sounds … which put us at the park around 2:45 a.m.

We drove to the MK and got the first parking space in the parking lot, which was REALLY weird (photos were taken). We road all the mountains and got the last ride of the night at Pirates.

On our way out, one of my friends snapped a photo of the Main Street clock at 4:20 a.m., which is still one of his favorite pictures today.

Our only regret was that Aloha Isle wasn’t open, because we wanted a Dole Whip. We had to settle for an early breakfast at the McDonalds over near AK before going back to bed.

Yes, it was crazy, but it is probably a once in a lifetime experience to be in the parks at such a late (or should I say early) hour. :cool1:

You can take advantage of EMHs ONLY if you are staying at one of the WDW resort hotels or one of the 'approved' WDW partner hotels near DTD.

If you're staying off property, you can't.

Don't forget that the WDW Resort guests need to get a wristband before going on any of the attractions, which is how the Cast Members can tell who are the guests that stay onsite and to get them they need to show their KTTW cards.

I did EMH at Magic Kingdom until 4am two years ago and will be doing so again on July 3rd 2008. I can't wait, it is brilliant, especially between 3am and 4am when most poeple have gone. I rode Buzz 4 times in a row without getting off. I also have a photo of the clock on Main Street. It was at 4am when I took it.

Wait a minute.. :scratchin

I didn't know that the evening extra hours were for 3 hours... I thought it was one :rotfl2:

Oh man, if only I knew that my last two trips :worried:

E-ride nights were much better than EMH nights, IMO. Since the EMH nights are free, more people show up. When paying $12 per wristband, the MK was pretty much vacant. It was the best!
