Magic Kingdom May 13 Question?

Anyone know why the park is closing so early at 7pm on May 13th? I know the Pirate Princess Party is on the 16th. Just wondering about the 13th. That means two nights out of my trip MK closes really early. *sigh*
I thought Grad Nights were at the Studios this year? Perhaps it's a corporate/private event?

I think grad nights are still in MK this year, but I think they're in April.

Grad nights are in April. I think this is the regular hours for the MK this day. It is very common for the MK to close at 7pm during off season!

MK used to close at 6pm almost every night but weekends in the off-season.

I have gone this same week 4 out of the last 5 years and the MK never closed at 7pm in May unless there was a special event. I highly doubt May is an Off Season. Especially when other then nights already announced for P&PP events are closing at 10 or 11pm.

Since I believe the 15th is an Evening EMH and they close at 11pm Just means I'll use EMH and stay until 2am and make up for the time lost on the 13th.

They may have a Private event going on the 13th but hopefully its just an error or they change their minds and keep it open later.

It is also listed to close at 7:00 on the 6th. Originally, everyone seemed to think that it was part of the P&PP schedule, but those dates didn't get one when all of the party dates were released. The same thing with April 29th, but they just extended the hours for that day a few days ago. Hopefully as it gets closer to May, they will extend the hours to the regular 9:00 closing!!

REGULAR (basic, standard, year-round, whatever) park hours are:
Magic Kingdom 9 AM to 6 PM
Animal Kingdom 9 AM to 5 PM
Disney Hollywood Studios 9 AM to 8 PM
Epcot 9 AM to 9 PM (specifically Future World 9-7; World Showcase 11-9)

EVERYTHING else is EXTENDED, or seasonal, hours.

That was supposed to be a Pirate and Princess party night. Before the official dates were released that date was on the list. I theory is that if the parties do well and more are needed they will add that date back on.
I took notice to this date because that was the day we had planned on attending the PP&P

To give you a glimmer of hope, the MK was scheduled to close at 7pm on APril 29. I assumed, like most, that it would be a P&PP date. When they finally officially announced the dates, that was not one of them, but they also didn't change the hours of MK. Well, just this week, they changed the MK hours on the website to 9pm. SO, that could happen for your week as well. Seems like they were leaving a few days open for options of P&PPs but they decided not to do all of them, which i personally love considering the week we're going, the Friday and sat preceeding will be Grad nights, and that Friday is a P&PP - too many early closing nights for MK!!

Luckily for me this all worked out - the 29th is my wedding and we were hoping to do a MK fireworks cruise after dinner. I had already booked it keepign my fingers crossed that one way or the other there would be fireworks taht day, and now there will be
