Magic Kingdom Family Magic Tour

Has anyone done the MK Family Magic Tour? We have it booked for our trip in December. Incidentally, that day is predicted to be a low crowd level (followed by very high crowds the rest of our trip as it gets closer to Christmas, and no tour times available for that week). My 7 year old thinks it looks fantastic but my 11 year old is hesitant to take 2 hours away from rides on a low crowd day - although he does think it looks a little fun . I guess I'm just looking for thoughts/opinions from anyone who's done it. Does it take the full 2 hours? Will the older one be bored? There is always the option of us splitting and meeting back up afterwards but my husband thinks it may be something we all look back on as a cool, different thing that we haven't done before - and my older one will surely have outgrown it by our next trip! My family and I just did the Family Magic Tour in June with an 11-year old and an 8-year old, both loved the tour. I had the same reservations about the oldest but she was engaged in the game from the get-go. I'm so happy we were able to do it because I can see that next time it would have been too childish for her. I would recommend this tour to you and your family, you'll have great memories from it!
