I bought a mophie for my last trip. It is a back up battery that is built into a case for the phone - nothing to plug in - I just replaced the case I had on the phone with the mophie.
There's a button that slides from green to red, if you have it in red, the mophie just acts as a case. if your battery runs really low, you just switch it to green and the mophie starts charging the battery...
I went all day and night - photos, Facebook, MDE, disboards, games... never got anywhere near depleting both the phone and mophie.
