Should we accept this challange? :lmao: I would not call it much of a challange. :rotfl2: We are already this morning on the next page. :rotfl2::rotfl2: What says the Magic in Paradise crew?

This pirate: thinks it's great that we're to be noticed!!!!:banana::banana: I mean, "Hey, we are excited, are we not? We are lovin' every minute...are we not? We are counting down every day are we not? What's NOT to LOVE about OUR cruise?":woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: Can't help noticing when people are just plain excited...maybe others will 'catch the spirit'!!:dance3::dance3::dance3:

And YES...we are now at the TOP of the page...:cheer:

Oh, and I am super bummed I wasn't eligible to receive some onboard credit for the cruise by booking the trip on my Disney Visa. Turns out the deposit was placed on a separate card before I got the Visa. I at least have 25 credits from a promotion when booking.

How soon before the vacation should I redeem my points to use onboard. I read somewhere that I'd have to redeem them so far in advance. From using my Visa card I mean.

:guilty: So sorry, I tried to write this message 3x this week but my internet has been atrocious!!

I assume you mean your Disney Rewards Card from your Disney Visa? If so, then this is what you need to do:

Go ahead and order your rewards card (you can go to your account online and do that). Used to, you had to have a minimum of like 25 points (dollars) to get one ordered I think, but not so sure of that now. Anyway, THIS part of the process is what takes so long....receiving it.

Then, at any point, you can go online and instantaneously add your points to your card. Now, sometimes it takes a while for them to credit your account (if you've joined one of their promotions like the 3x's or 5x's deals), so if you have your 'card' in hand, once you see it credited to your account, you go and 'transfer' your points to your said card.

Remember though, there is an expiration date for each Rewards card, so load your dollars appropriately. Ex., last year, we went to the world, and had a leftover of a few dollars, but our card expires the end of this year. So we WILL load all our points up before the cruise, because we KNOW we'll spend it all due to excursions and all on the cruise! If you're not going to spend it all, before the expiration date, don't load it all!

And I would copy or print the page where it says how many points (dollars) are being transferred...we actually got to the world one year and even though we had 'loaded our points' on the card; the card showed no balance. So, when we got home, we had to call DRV and get them to handle it.

I hope this helps, and if you need anything else..you can ask here or check the Rewards site!:thumbsup2

I am ordering our rewards card at the beginning of the month so we will have it before we leave. I am using it this month to bump up the amount. According to the website it only takes 2-3 weeks to get it in the mail. The last time I ordered one it only took a couple weeks though at the most. I love using the Disney visa before all of our trips for that extra cash.

Also I think we will beat the other group no matter what anyway.:lmao:

OOps. Forgot to add that on the Rewards website it will show exactly how many points expire and on what date. The earliest ours expire is I think 2014?:confused3

:thumbsup2Just so you know Laura... I called Disney Rewards because I had earned xtra points due to a promotion. They said "We sometimes take 4-8 weeks to post your rewards"...I used all of June and July to 'bump' up my points too and was wondering Why they weren't showing up yet, and this is what they told me about taking 4-8 weeks. Also, we were told the same thing on receiving our cards. And one card, arrived in plenty of time. The next one we ordered? Like 2 days before our trip! So we don't chance it anymore. We'll order our card, and 'transfer' later if need be!:goodvibes

Wow, that is crazy. That is definitely not what it states on their website but thanks for letting me know. I usually just use it for purchases which usually show the next month. I will order mine though like the first day after the statement cuts and I can see them so I will have plenty of time to get it just in case.:thumbsup2 Maybe I should order it now and then can get another one after the statement? I think I will do that.

Hey guys...a question...

How do you add money to your stateroom credit? I wanted to throw some money on there so we dont have to worry about what we bring with us.

Also, can I put money on another room if I am the one who booked it? I wanted to put some spending money on my mother-in-laws room as they dont have much to spend and this will allow them a little play money.

Do I call, or can I do it on the website?

Bumping us up.:thumbsup2
I am not sure about that Beth but I bet one of the veterans will chime in. It has been pretty quiet on here today. I had to actually do work. :lmao:

But in almost 8 more weeks it will be time to :dance3::dance3:

Just FYI for those of you staying at MCO Hyatt or whoever is interested: Restaurant.com has gift certificates available for both restaurants there. I got us a $25 one for $10 to use the night we are there. Every little bit helps.:cool1:

:confused3 I'm not sure what part that you're talking about. And I haven't 'read' their website as of late, but I did call just the other day after I had checked our statement online. I noticed 'not enough points' were on there, so I called.

I'm not sure whether you're talking about ordering your 'rewards' card or 'transferring' your points. But I know that you can transfer your points by going online. We've not 'transferred' ours because like I said before, we were missing some rewards points. But like I mentioned also, she said "When we have promotions, it can take 4-8 weeks" before the points show up on your account. I don't think that means for just 'everyday, regular' purchases when you haven't signed up for a rewards promoting period. We had signed up for a 3x promotion, so I think that's why.

So to sum it up: You should be able to access ANY points that show up on your statement and 'transfer' them at any point (pending you already have your card). But, if you're ordering your new 'rewards' card, that can take time receiving it also.

Hope this clears it all up, and that I didn't confuse you more!:goodvibes

Now let's get those points/dollars so we can spend 'em!:yay::yay::yay:

Ahhh....GREAT idea! I hadn't thought about that one! We're not staying there, but believe I'll go to the site and see what's available DTD or near there!!!

Thanks Laura!:cool1:

I've been looking to see what's available at the port that we can use the night before. Not a whole lot thus far. Will keep checking though.

:thumbsup2 I SO WOULD...but I'm going to TARGET!!!:rotfl:

Made my little neighbor lasagna, salad and rolo brownies last night...it's a shame you don't live down here...you could sure have some!

I figured it was about time for me to check in again. I've been following along keeping track of everyone ;-) It's been a busy summer, had the chance to spend 5 nights on the Dream and had two Amazing days at CC!! Also booked three more cruises while onboard!! :woohoo: But now this is my Next cruise, and I'm so excited to get this party started!! I think my favorite part of this upcoming cruise will be to see it all through a newbies eyes! Can't wait to share the DCL experience with my "little" sister!! Is there any mention of a meet at the terminal or onboard yet?

Welcome back:cool1:

Long time no see. As you can see we've gotten thee party started. NO final decisions on a meet, but I believe the pool area is the place of choice for our group. If everybody is in agreement, then y'all just give a shout out, and I will add it to POST 1:thumbsup2

Unfortunately, it is time for me go into the kitchen and get something done, otherwise I will not be eating tonight.

Back later if I'm awake.
