Magic in NYC~June 2, 2012

I ended up going to sleep around 4:45 in order to check-in online. I had two rooms to check-in, and after securing my 11am port arrival time for the first room, the website was shut down for maintanence prior to completing the second room. Finally finished my check-in for the second room at 4:30. The lost sleep was well worth it. Was able to book palo ressies for dinner and brunch, 6:30 departure for MK and earliest arrival time at the port.

Does anyone know if we will be able to take food off the ship on WDW day? Either that or hoping Disney ends up deciding to give us a dining plan for the day (even though I highly doubt that would happen).

I had asked Disney a while ago about the WDW day and they had said that only tickets were included...... no food or dining plan.

My family will be joining the NYC cruise on June 2 and we are super, super excited! This will be our second cruise. Our first was a three day to Nassau and Castaway Cay...just enough to give cruising a try! We are blessed to join our dear friends...Suz D and her family to celebrate their special day!

We only have 17 rooms participating.

Come on and join the fun!! Anyone who was waiting to see how big the list got before committing? We had talked about splitting the list in half but with only 17 rooms that's not even an "even" split.

Does any one know how long the drive is from the port to ny airports? I want to book our return flight home on the 10'th.
Also, how is the transportation from the parks back to the ship working? How late will the buses be running? Tia

In a perfect world without traffic, the trip to LaGuardia from the cruise terminal is about a half hour and to JFK it's about an hour. However, with NY traffic, you should add a half hour to that for LGA because that traffic isn't as bad. Getting to JFK...I would add 45 extra minutes to an hour to be extra safe. I've gotten stuck in pretty bad traffic to JFK, and of course it usually is during weekdays. Not sure how bad traffic on a Sunday would be.

I believe the buses back to the ship start at 3:30. The last bus back is at 11 pm from the Magic Kingdom because that's the park that is opened the latest that day.

Hi Jill!! Mary-Grace was thrilled when I told her who would be cruising with us! Yours were the only girls she met up with at the kids club on our Christmas cruise. I know she would love to e mail with them again, if your girls are up for it. Welcome aboard!
