I would start by reaching out to Sonny (sdaniel) and Wendy (Tangled22) to see if they are still interested. I suggested it a few posts back but I have not heard anything. Then start a list in a post which you can go back and edit as the group grows. I can also add your Group 2 names to post 1 of this thread, where it is easily accessible. I waited until I had the list before I compiled full information, but if I were you I would start by getting it up front. You'll want to do that in PM (private messaging) so it's not blasted on the board for anyone not in the group to see. Compile the information as follows:

DIS Name
Family Name
Adults' Names
Children's Names & Ages
Stateroom #
Food Allergies?
E-mail Address
* If the group is big enough, you could choose to assign days to deliver gifts, in which case you would ask if each family has a preference.

Enter the information into a spreadsheet, e-mail it out to the group, and you've got yourself an FE Exchange!

Wendy and Sonny are both also on our FB page (the link to which is in post 1 of the thread), if you want to try starting over there. Let me know how else I can help! I am happy to send you a copy of the Group 1 spreadsheet if you want to use it as an example. Just PM me your e-mail address. :-)

Here you go.

As I am heaing our forecast for snow today I am wondering if it will be warm enough to swim at Castaway Cay. We have had such a warm winter here so far that I forgot the we are really in the middle of winter

Yes, we will need it. I can't answer as to when they assign guaranteed cabins, but I'm certain the answer is somewhere on these boards.
I just checked our reservation and see that is has been assigned. I was assuming that we would be notified be email but we were not

Great! I had not said anything to the kids yet about the fe's until I knew we could get in a group. They are getting very excited and this will give them something to do to feel included in the planning.

Does any one know if the fireworks can be seen from the verandas? we are in 8040.
Also is that done as part of the Pirate Party? Can anyone give a general idea of what happens at the Pirate party? And how much of a costome is required? Do you think older kids would enjoy this -13 and 14

Thanks traceyj123! I don't think they will sleep on the bus - just knowing them. But they totally could surprise me - and that would be awesome. :cool1: I will have to give this some thought and then probably flip a coin?? :)
The information that I have been given about the passport for kids is that the do not have to have one - but they strongly recommend it - the passport web site( if i read it righ) said that because it is a loop cruise theY will only need a birth certificate - maybe an id (I got conflicting information on this) If anyone has any different information please let me know,

Just an FYI - I did take my daughter to get her passport last week. I figured better safe than sorry on that. They said they were running at about 4 weeks and that I would not have to expedite the passport. Fingers crossed for that!

Costume is up to all... Our family gets dressed up. Dinner is pirate themed also all restaurant staff are dressed up. There is a dance party with a bit of a show! Fireworks and a special buffet afterwards!!!

Just saying hello...I am going to be joining this sailing....will take me a minute to catch up on all the posts though!

Well, I just talked to my wife and we're still interested in joining FE2. We've got four cabins all on deck 7. It's six adults and seven kids - three male and three female adults, girls ages 13, 11, and 3, and finally boys ages 9,7,5,3. I'll PM the cabin numbers and who's where to Lisa when I can get on my PC and look it up.

Wow u r in for a huge treat. This will be our fifth Disney cruise. Our first I was 28 husband 32 DD 4 and DD 2 we also went with my husbands parents and my mom. My kids still remember it to this day my daughter more than my son. I think it's the biggest pile of dookie when I hear people say they don't want to take their kids to Disneyland or cruise because they don't think the kids will appeicate it or remember. 1st of all they appeicate it the most as toddlers the magic is so real for them and meeting all the characters means everything to them. Who cares if they remember everything or not your spending quality time with them and you will remember and always have pics to remind them. My kids are 10 and 12 now and they have an awesome time every time but truthfully the best times were when they believed in the magic. Experiencing Disney through your kids eyes is magical and the no words to describe the feeling u get when you see them so happy and in awe. Im preschool teacher so I hear it all the time and sometimes I want to just scream!!! I wish I could take them all just to share in their excitement and joy. I have one little girl in particular who every single time I put in a Disney song she transforms in to princess and she is taken away to her castle. Seriously your gonna love this cruise
I did not realize the impression and memories the kids bring back. We had taken the three older grandkids to dw many years ago, but my granddaughter did not get Cinderella's autograph because we were not there at the right time. At Christmas when we told the three younger siblings that we were taking them on the cruise Kandace (who is now 21 asked her sisters if they would get a Cinderella autograph for her. That is something we must do for her this time.

My grandsons name is Austin - not Ausin - sorry -

And the twins are both girls

I have not gone online to book anything yet, it's in the plans for this weekend. What are check in times? Our last cruise was in Jan 2011. I thought Platinum Castaway Club had priority boarding. Do we still need to choose a time, we usually arrived around 10:30 in Port Canaveral. I hope those who have been planning for a while might know the answer?

Found my answer at online check it. It told me I do have to pick a time, just show up.

This will be our second Disney Magic cruise out of Galveston! As soon as we got back from our October cruise we booked this one on the "Kids Sail Free" promotion - couldn't resist! I am happy to share any of my experiences on the ship (I have two boys - 6 and 2 years old) and with the port of Galveston.

My question is about the day at Port Canaveral/Walt Disney World... has anyone done one of these WDW excursion days? I saw it was previously offered for some sailings out of NYC. I am just curious how the return shuttles work. Where we catch them? Can we get a bus back from any park (we are taking the first MK shuttle there but wanted to hop to Epcot and take an Epcot shuttle back) I assume we can - but just trying to plan out the day :)

Thanks all!

Also is that done as part of the Pirate Party? Can anyone give a general idea of what happens at the Pirate party? And how much of a costome is required? Do you think older kids would enjoy this -13 and 14

My 6 year old had a full pirate costume (it was very convenient that he was a pirate for Halloween this year!). My 2 year old was Peter Pan and got lots of attention with his costume :) My husband and I just used the pirate bandanas they give out at the dinner that night.

The pirate party was really fun! Just a lot of dancing. Characters are up on the stage. (my sister joked that it was like an exercise class because people are following the moves of the dancers on the stage). Then there's a great surprise right before the fireworks. I would think the 13 and 14 years old will enjoy the fireworks -- not sure about the dancing? But be sure to start heading straight for the buffet right after fireworks and not to linger too long... the line gets LONG very fast. We ended up skipping the buffet because the boys were exhausted from all the dancing! Hope this helps!

As a mom to 3 girls, being on-time is not something we do well!! And with only one bathroom...challenging! We chose the 7:15 bus to WDW and already worrying. How much time should I allow from our stateroom to the bus? Splitting hairs, I know, but being late is not an option!!

Also, a little confused about the kid's clubs. On the website, the Oceaneer's Club/Lab is for kids age 3-12. (My Passporter's guide indicates for kids 3-10). When I access our cruise reservations and activities, it will not allow me to sign my 12 year old up for the kid's clubs. I know she can go to the Edge, but thought the girls might be more comfortable going together.
