Magic Express?

We haven't been to Disney for about 5 years.

We will be flying from Toronto and clearing US Customs & Immigration at the airport. At Orlando, do we have to pick up our luggage and take to the Magic Express bus. I remember that we went downstairs and had to check in at a Magic Express counter and then went to the bus line, do we still do that.

If you register with Magical Express before you go, they send you barcoded luggage labels, you but them on your bags, and just check in the the Magical Express counter, take the bus... and they will find and deliver your luggage to you.

The only reason not to use the ME luggage delivery service was if you want to have your luggage ASAP. It can take several hours for ME to collect your luggage and deliver to your room.

If you want your luggage with you when you check in to the resort, don't use your ME luggage tags, collect your bags at the airport, then go to the ME check-in counter. You will have to load your bags on and off of the bus to your resort.

Note: once you put on the ME luggage tags and check your bags at Toronto, you cannot change your mind and decide to pick up your luggage at MCO airport. The ME tagged luggage is intercepted and whisked away before the remaining luggage goes on the luggage claim conveyor.
