Magic express service????

I simply just can't understand why some people pack medications, toiletries, clothing they need for right after arrival, etc. in checked suitcases. THAT'S WHAT CARRY-ONS ARE FOR!!! What if the AIRLINE delays your luggage??? Airlines in the USA misdirect and delay 10,000 pieces of lugage EVERY DAY.

No matter where I fly, no matter when I fly, I ALWAYS pack for the first 24 hours in carry-ons. When we used DME in its first days last May, our luggage arrived about 3 hours after we did. I could not have cared less. When it "magically appeared" in our room we didn't know it because we were in the pool enjoying the start of our vacation. And let me assure you that we did NOT wear our bathing suits on the airplane!

Try it yourself. Put together a change of clothes, bathing suit, PJs, toiletries, etc. for one day. It takes up a surprisingly small amount of space, especially when we're talking clothing to be worn in warm weather such as in Florida.

we just returned from Disney last night and used ME, we recived our tags with our packet and used those tags and the regular airline tags. We arrived checked in and went to Epoct. When we returned our bags were there. On the return trip home we had to call the bellhop to set up pickup (our airline was not one of the ones you could do bag chck ing (southwest)). But that was not a problem. It was great. Just ask questions if you have a problem everyone is very nice and willing to help.

I know this sounds crazy, but we don't check our baggage ever. And this is traveling with 3 small/medium kids. I've had a lot of travel experience and know what we need and that we'll be spending all of our time in the parks, so we just need some clothes, toiletries and that's it.

Before anyone gives me a hard time, LOL, I'm one of those people who is Obsessed with not checking my baggage and getting everything into asmall carryon. I've even read several websites devoted just to packing light! I love the idea!

Like I said, we have 5 in our family and will only need 3 carryons. These carryons are not the heavy duty hard ones, but lightweight dufflebags with wheels. They are regulation size according to the airlines.

We are able to put these carryons under the seat in front of us and do not feel we are inconveniencing anyone on the plane since we are able to do it quickly. We don't even use the overhead bins.

We also take one backpack with a few activities for the kids on the plane and then to carry water and other items we need in the parks.

Happy Packing!

Edited to add: Now checking our luggage on the way home is something I consider because everything just doesn't go back into the suitcases as it was packed at home!

So I put an extra tote bag in the bottom of one of the carryons to put the extra stuff we come home with. Then I see if we need to check our baggage or not. I'd rather lose our baggage on the way home than on the way to our destination!

This time we are staying off site and don't get into Orlando until real late. Hence, the not wanting to wait for luggage to appear at the carousel. We are going to leave that plane and hit the road to the hotel!

We just got back last night. We never received our luggage tags so we had to wait for our luggage and bring it to the bus. No big deal, at least we know we had it. The problem was coming home. We checked our two bags at the resort and got our boarding passes which was nice. Got home and only one bag made it. Hope it's not lost for too long!

We could not do the return luggage thing because we were on USA3000, but it was not bad carting our own luggage.
We were going to book USA3000 for our July trip, but have never flown with them. Also want to use DME and saw that USA3000 is not on the list of approved airlines. If I am reading your note correctly... you can still fly USA3000 and use DME, but you don't get the magical luggage thing... Correct? Also, can you tell me if you were happy with USA3000?
