We are thinking, rather hoping, to fly into MCO on a Saturday night and wont be
checking into the resort until Sunday, we are wondering if anyone knows if we can stay in a hotel near the airport that night and still get the magic express the next morning since we wont be renting a car for the duration of the trip and I havent been able to find any flights to get us there at a reasonable time on sunday without wasting a lot of precious time.
I havnt booked the flights yet until I find out if this is even and option.....

If anyone has any insight on this, I would be grateful.

Thanks,
Kim

Sure.

When you make your Magical Express reservation, call the toll-free number directly (it starts with 866 and is available somewhere in each of the DME-related sticky threads at the top of this forum.

Tell them you are arriving at X time Sunday morning but you don't have your flight numbers. Or, just tell them you're staying near the airport Saturday night and would like to head to Walt Disney World around X time Sunday :teeth: (honesty being the best policy and all that).

DON'T try to arrange this through CRO/WDTC. They'll tell you it can't be done. They'll be wrong, but why risk the aggravation?

I am another that has done it. We arrived around midnight and stayed at an airport hotel. We picked up our bags and took the hotel shuttle to the hotel. In the morning, we took the shuttle back to MCO and got on ME. To not confuse ME, we simply had given them a flight that arrived that morning when we made our original reservation. Our hotel shuttle even dropped us off right at ME!

Just throwing my $.02 in here since that is exactly what we planned on doing. We were going to fly in Monday and stay at the airport Hyatt and then take ME on Tuesday mornign. Exactly as the previous posters mentioned I was told to give ME flight information for Tuesday morning and just go down with our bags around the times we gave them.
I do also want to offer another suggestion, staying at a Value on-site, room only, for that first night. I priced it out and it will be a lot cheaper than an airport hotel and will be faster and easier getting to the hotel we will be staying at for our package.
