Magic Double-dip "SCOOP AWAY THE POUNDS"

Every morning I start out really good...then something happens around lunch time. At least the last two days at night I'm not going crazy - just mid-crazy.

So, today I realized that if my pants were getting snug... that's not good. Time to commit. I did swim on Monday - but it's Thursday and I haven't been back. I'm ok with it, just know that on some level I haven't stopped the trantrum... (I want to do what I want to do...) Can somebody lend me some "big girl panties"?

Just kidding! I thought about Rachel this morning, wonder what she's up to - hoping all is ok.

And Miss C - CAN YOU HEAR ME? Check in darling - we love to hear from you - even if your just running to Little Master "B's" swim meets. Want to hear how he's doing...

Ok all back to work!

ONWARD & DOWNWARD!!!

Congrat sis - glad your back on track! Just think about how much better you'll feel (joints and hips for sure!)

Well, I do not know if you guys remember that my WI used to be on Thursdays. It was changed 8 weeks ago, darn it. I weighed my self today (on the same scale as yesterday) and I am down the .6+. I was so discouraged. Then I thought about next week and how good it will feel. I have also gone back over my journal and I was very good and stayed under my points, but I had increased the salty type foods. You guys know the ones like pretzels, french fries, seafood and my favorite diet soda (only had one large the whole week). So what have I learned. I need to monitor my sodium intake every 3-4 weeks. I guess when I start craving I will satisfy them with some almonds.

PJ..(hope you do not mind my referring to you that way as that is your new stage name  ) I have found that eating something (yogurt, nuts, cottage cheese, string cheese, ff pudding, fruit, veggies, ect) every two hours keeps me on target and stops the cravings. Maybe you can try that for a couple days. I have to stay away from the carbs becasue they make me have craving and I crash after an hour or so. I do love them, but they do not love me. :thumbsup2 Hang in there an let me know if this helps you.

Please don't weight yourself daily. I use to do that and the scale became my enemy. Water weight can change daily and you are working so hard seeing a little change in weight will start playing with your mind. You are doing AMAZING with your weight lose do not let the scale mess with your head :grouphug: . Also please remember all of the healthy changes you have made an how much better you body is starting to feel.

My hard time of the day is 3:00. Always looking for something around then .Just get focused and remeber that your knees have been hurting less and you DO NOT want that to change. I also wonder about Rachel often. I hope all is OK with her.
Well a little good news here I finally went on the scale and I am down a total of 11 pounds. I had to check it 3X's because I thought for sure it was wrong. It really made my day.I haven't weghted myself in at least 4 weeks so its not amazing , but I am still very happy. I hope it is the start of some downward motion (it the scale that is).

CAUSE OF JOY! :cool1:

Michelle Congradulations!!!!!!!

That is awesome news and such an inspiration. I am very motivated today. I will just trust the process. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Thanks for the support !!!
Yesterday my summer guest left to go back to NY and it is a little depressing for us. We will really miss having Anthony, he is really like a big brother to Vito Jr . School starts tommorow for Angelina and I am hoping and praying for a good year. Things are starting out on the right path so hopefully it is a sign of good things to come. I am home schooling Vito jr and we are not starting untill next week . We are both going to start exercising daily incorperating it into his PE program . So I am hoping that it will really help both of us increase our metabilisim.
Where is everyone?

I'm here! The work-out with Vito Jr sounds like a great plan.

I'm happy to report down another .5 Two pounds to go till my mini-goal! Yeah. :cheer2:

I'm finding that having my 'main' meal at lunch and a lighter meal at dinner is working for me, especially because I'm less active at night (the come home from work and crash syndrome). It also provides a nicer break during the work day (I hate eating in the office). I've found a place where I can get meat/assorted veggies/sugar free jello for under $7. So $35 a week for lunch is pretty darn good...especially one that includes vegetables ::yes::

I'm thinking about hitting the mall on the way home from work and doing a walk there. I just can't drag myself to the gym at work and do the treadmill...too boring. The mall at least has visual distractions and I'll probably spend more time on my feet. Eventually, I'll have to move on (back) to the things that provide better cardio, but this may be a way to get started...as it's to darn hot :sunny: to do a walk outside.

I am here checking in. I am down 2.8 for a total of 35.4

Michelle..good for you. That is a neat way to get in your excercise. Not to mention teaching Vito Jr. a healthy life style.

Congrats Jackie. Way to go!

Dee - a lot of my friends call me PJ so that's totally cool! It's actually more the "real" me...PJ when I was young, athletic and active all the time. So a good aura for me - thanks for reminding me.

I'm back on track - not the swimming 3x a week, but eating better which in turn helps my mood. I did find a gyno to go have my hormones checked when i return from Wyoming... been a long time since I"ve had a pap and need to get all that in order. I know I'm shifting into "perry" menopause - because of flashing and mood swings which have NOT helped my eating and being "better" to myself.

So - all in all - it's good. OH, Dee - before I forget, I have been following your suggestion - just didn't realize it - because I've been away from the DIS since 8/3 - but I do eat a handful of almonds, have a yogurt, and a piece of fruit in between the day - which has helped! Thanks! You must have been sending me those thoughts and I caught them!

I'm staying away from the scale and going my "clothes" for the next few weeks so I don't get depressed.

I know I'll loose weight next week while we are gone with the moving around factor - and when i get back I am going to committ to the pool/gym again - because I know that is the key.

I'm also thinking about getting some more therapy. This food addiction is triggered by something, I can feel it, and I'm not succeeding on my own, so it's time.

Ok, all have a great day! Or week, if I don't make it back before we return around the 20th.

ONWARD & DOWNWARD - REMEMBER THE DOLPHINS!!!

Peggy
I think going with how your clothes feel instead of the scale is a great idea. Also have a wonderful vaction.
Jackie
Keep up the great work. I think I am liking the idea of mini goals.
Dee
another 2.8 that is AMAZING :cool1:  :Pinkbounc .

Wow we are sure a quiet bunch. I hope everyone is doing well. I imagine a lot of you are busy with school about to start or already starting, depending what part of the world you live in.

The temp has cooled down a little. It has been bearable. I was able to go for 3 walks on Saturday. I am such an over achiever. LOL I actually was walking to my new house with two different people and then walked the dog once. I did not walk at all on Sunday except around Walmart. Gee, does that count.

Well I need to go motivate myself to get dinner cooked. Just thought I would check in and see how everyone was doing.

Well, of course it's quite....Peg is out of town! :lmao: :lmao:

Something unbelievable happened on the scale this morning...based on recent eating I hesitate to say.....so I'm holding out for another day or two to see if it's 'true'. OK, not that big of a deal, down another pound, but I want to make sure it's 'set' before I claim it!

Well congrats anyway.

I think we have lost enough for someone. Okay so it is only a petite woman at this point, but we are getting there. Before long she will have a kid and if we are real good she will have a man. Hate to punish her like that, but what the heck.

You guys are FUNNY!!!
I have not stepped on the scale because I am retaining water and I will wait untill I feel less "puffy".
Way to go Jackie!!!

HI all- I've been more or less lurking on the thread, as all of you have better news than I have. I am still only 4 pounds down. I do well until late afternoon and evening, and better when I am working (of course I have not worked all week, and likely not work for the next week or two). The school I work at has not given me an official start date for this school year. The students I work with need to spend a certain amount of time working with their teachers before they get pulled out to work with me. SO.... I need to undertake some of the home projects to keep me busy and less munchy. I have been walking some in the AMs, so that helps. Plus, I did go camping and not overindulge on camping treats, so I guess that is a positive thing. Glad to hear everyone is doing well!

Just checking in. I am down 2.6 this week. It bring me to a total of 38. I have set a mini goal of 40 and hopefully next week I will make it. Have you ever noticed that it is easier to gain than lose? Why is that. I think we were designed with a flaw.

Okay, as I have said in the past I am not a chocolate lover, but I have times when I want a little something. Usually with carmel. Well Whitmans has this WW peanutbutter crunch and they are yummy. Kinda like a mini butterfinger bar. Best part is 4 are a serving.

Well I had better get back to work.

We're at 141 total....based on today's update. Please take a moment to look at page one and make sure I have your current info. I'm not counting that pesky pound yet...will wait till Friday AM for it to be 'official'. Who knows, maybe it will take a friend along with it! Twelve (and a smidge) weeks to go!
