Magic - Deck 5/6/7 Inside vs. Deck 1/2 Oceanview

Porthole rooms have the split bath...I think that all rooms except the standard inside have a split bath.

I was just looking at staterooms again and realizing that--for the price difference between oceanview and deluxe inside, I think the oceanview might win out if the bathroom's the deciding factor.

Looking at deck plans, it looks like all the midship/forward staterooms on deck 2 are directly underneath Lumiere's, the atrium, the lounges, or the theater. Seems like it might be noisy? No one in this thread has complained about noise, though.

I might be cautious about being under the lounges or theatre, but Lumieres and the Atrium don't seem (to me) to be terribly loud areas at night. Being under the galley might cause noise though. We are mid ship on the Magic soon on deck 2 and I'm looking forward to it. We are somewhere under the guest services desk I think.

We were under Lumiere's and it was noisy for a while after dinner. Like they were moving equipment around. But only briefly.

Look to see if there are any secret porthole rooms. They are on deck 5 and 6 and are priced around the same as an oceanview on deck 2. If there are not any available now they may open up at PIF. They are a category 10A, I have room tours of 5520 and 6006 in my signature if you want to see what they are like.
Random question: I have 6006 Wonder booked, and I am trying to find out if the headboard of the bed is facing forward. I have a thing with cruising where I prefer to not be sleeping backwards. I like to face forward. Do you happen to remember 6006? I watched your video but still unsure. Thanks.

I feel like I remember @PrincessShmoo knew how to figure out which way the bed was facing based on the deck plan and where the door is or something?
