I knew I forgot to do something..... Here's my ice breaker
I'm Lisa (46) and my husband is Drew (44) we have been happily married for almost 20 years now. We work together as real estate brokers on the east coast of Florida. We represent foreclosures (mostly Freddie Mac) in Indian River, Martin and St Lucie counties (otherwise known as the Treasure coast). We are avid investors ourselves and hope one day soon to become semi-retired. But until then we are workaholics.

We have 3 amazing children,
JoAnna (27) my blessing from my first marriage. She's a Disney fanatic! ,
Jason (18) (poor guy is smack in the middle of 2 demanding sisters)

he'll make a good husband someday because of it, He plays Varsity Basketball, Varsity Golf and a fair amount of XBOX 360

and
Jessi (15) she's the one that keeps me running all over the place and I'm in the process of teaching her how to drive.

She is a JV cheerleader, does competitive cheer, takes 3 dance classes and teaches 2, teaches the confirmation class at church and the youth group, She is currently taking piano lessons also and is getting pretty awesome. Hope she can play a few Christmas carols on the boat for us.
Because we work so much, we usually can only do the 3 night cruise unless one of us stays behind with the business. This will be our first long cruise/vacation with all 5 of us together in a really long time and it is most deserved.
We have had a very tough year. Earlier this year I had a very difficult full radical Hysterectomy which had me laid up for over 2 months. A month later JoAnna's brain swelled from an infection which caused her to have many life threatening seizures (code blues), kidney failure, lungs filled up with fluid, intubation, slipped into a coma for a week, ICU for 5 weeks, 4 surgeries, had to relearn how to walk etc. The doctors told me the prognosis was not good and to prepare myself for her not living through the night. Asking if she was an organ donor and if she had a directive. She was such a trooper and kept her smile the whole time. She has always been a blessing and even more so now. The day she was getting out of the hospital, her nurse rushed me down to the ER because she thought I was having a stroke. I was in for 3 days and it took 3 months for me to recover. In the old days they would have put me in a rest home

. Thank heavens my daughter is doing well and recovered

but I am still traumatized from the whole event. The post traumatic stress is calmer now although it still shocks me when it pops up out of nowhere.
We are a very close knit family and that has been a blessing during this past year. My daughter and I had a Med cruise booked for May 15th and were not able to make it since we were still in the hospital. We did rebook at the last minute and my daughter and I were able to enjoy the Sept 2nd Med
Disney cruise. We had an awesome time together. We enjoyed the company of all our Disboard friends and tablemates. We can't wait to make new friends on this cruise. We hope 2011 will be a better year.
