Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - PART II

I can try to do these for everyone... if someone can send me a clean copy of the clip art on page one that I can size and I can get everyone's "real names" versus DIS names.... no $1.00 required, LOL

:)
Thanks Dagny for taking this on. You rock!!! :woohoo:
Our info:

Me - STLUCIELADY - Lisa
DH - Drew
DS - Jason
DD - Jessica
DD - caligirl15 - JoAnna

You may want to still collect some money for it. It's a lot of work and we appreciate it.

It was a good show and yes, I have already watched the results but I spoil it for you.:bitelip:

OMG! Mrs. Brady went home. I got a bit teary eyed watching Florence get eliminated. She truly enjoyed her experience. I thought it should've have been Bristol. She cannot dance, and her performance lack showmanship.

The Mountaintop Downhill Hike is supposed to run from 8am to noon. If we grab a quick shower afterward, I had hoped to be back out on the road by 1 or so. We're in port til 6:30, so hopefully time won't be an issue.

We will be hiking with you. I am looking forward to this excursion. I think you will have plenty of time. After the excursion, I will probably be in the spa for rest and relaxation or maybe a nap:-)

Ok.. gonna get introuble for posting this one.. :rolleyes1

Party like ROK STARZ :cool2:

8 weeks 2 dayz and we are waiting to board the ship.

BCSKI415.jpg

Great picture! We will see you on board. party:

Hopefully it will stay a surprise. I could never surprise my kids since I talk about the cruise and the DIS boards all day long.:rotfl2: We are trying to plan a teen meet on embarkation day so hopefully she can meet some teens there. Since DD isn't bringing a friend on this trip she is definitely looking for other teens to hang out with.

Raven is the only child. She always dreads embarkation day because she has enter the Stack for the first time by herself and meet new people. Now, that she is connecting with some teens on their thread, she is much more confident going into the Stack on the first day. It will be even better because the girls will meet the night before at the Hyatt.

Wow, you are the BEST! We are:

John (Decked Out)
Liz (Liz Arjay)
Turner (DS16)
Henry (DS15)
Annie (DD13)
Maureen (Grandma)
Ellen (Aunt)

I haven't been able to get to DISboards for a few days due to busy work schedule, and GOSH - I've missed about 20 pages of important posts!

I love the idea for a teen meet at the Sail Away party on Deck 10.

DisneySquared - looking forward to meeting you in Baldwin Park.

I use lots of over-the-door hooks but will need to investigate the Command hooks.

Has the kids' Secret Mickey Exchange been formalized? I sent a PM but never heard back unless I didn't see it.

I want to join the Hyatt group the night before, unless I am overwhelmed by packing. We live nearby.

The excitement is building....
:santa:

I envy you (no plane ride). One of the highlights of our Mexican Riviera cruise was driving to the port in 45 minutes. I know packing is overwhelming. I have to admit that I use a spreadsheet to organize the packing process. I hope you can make the meet. It will be great to relax and to chat with our new friends before we sail.

I’m excited to say that we (DH, DD, and I) have decided to splurge and will be joining all of you on this incredible holiday itinerary! We were waiting for a military discount and I posted a few months ago to that affect... Well one has yet to materialize but my husband will be deploying to Afghanistan shortly after the cruise so we have decided to just do it!

I look forward to meeting all of you at the ornament exchange. BTW, where do I sign-up for that?

RRC

:welcome: :welcome:

Check out the first page of the thread for all the great activities we have going on. The ornament exchange will happen at the DISMeet, which will be on the second day of the cruise (time and place TBD).

Welcome to our new friends.

My DH is getting all excited because USMC is having a birthday soon. Are you going to the Marine Corps Ball? My DH and I have great memories at the ball.

Semper Fi

We're going to the Marine Ball! I spent last weekend searching for a complete ensemble! You'll all see it again on the Christmas formal night, since I managed to find a great gown in red!!!!

Will be flying back to Kampala tomorrow night - but shopped a little too much and can't fit everything in my suitcases. :scared1: My father-in-law has agreed to try and find me an old suitcase and bring it by tomorrow morning so I can throw everything else into it! (Luckily I have earned the right to a third suitcase free with my frequent flyer status - guess all those hours in a tin can does have it's rewards!)

OMG! Mrs. Brady went home. I got a bit teary eyed watching Florence get eliminated. She truly enjoyed her experience. I thought it should've have been Bristol. She cannot dance, and her performance lack showmanship.

It was kind of sad to see her go home. I have to agree with you about Bristol and sometimes she looks like she really doesn't want to be there.

Raven is the only child. She always dreads embarkation day because she has enter the Stack for the first time by herself and meet new people. Now, that she is connecting with some teens on their thread, she is much more confident going into the Stack on the first day. I know what you mean Lisa. Even though Alyssa is not an only child she might as well be since there is 7 years difference between her and her sister. On our last 3 cruises she was able to bring a friend so she had no worries about someone to hang out with and she was really worried about this cruise. Now she is so excited and can't wait to meet the teens she has been talking to on the DIS. The meet the night before at the Hyatt will be a great ice breaker.

What date does everyone's vacation start? We leave Dec 8th is that the earliest?
Nope, not the earliest by 5 days. We fly out of LAX on 12/3, stay at Kidani Village 12/3 - 12/11, hop aboard the Magic for a 7 night Western then hop back aboard the Magic for the 11-night Southern. Upon arriving back in FL, we head over to the Country Inns and Suites off Apopka / Vineland from 12/29 - 1/2, then back home to LAX. :cool1: Hubby shouldn't have to fly back to FL until 2/2011 for work, although he'll probably be there most of the month of March .... gggrrrrrrr.

Does anyone know if we can UPS gifts directly to the ship/stateroom?

This is from the FAQ sticky on the main cruise board.

Boxes Sent the Ship Ahead of Cruise - PLEASE follow these instructions carefully!!!!!! UPDATED AS OF 2/25/2009
• ONE box per stateroom, no exceptions.
• The package must have the guest full name, ship, sailing date, stateroom number or GTY if you have not been assigned a stateroom number.
• The package also must have a packing slip attached to the outside of the box that details the contents of the package. For prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient. Your list may or may not be read but it must have one. Write packing slip on the outside of the envelope.
• NO FOODS/DRINKS OF ANY KIND, LIQUOR OF ANY KIND, FIREARMS, ETC.. Items that cannot be shipped to the Disney Cruise Line Warehouse and delivered to the ship include: food products (any and all food products including baby food/formula), beverages (liquor, water, etc.), chemicals, and luggage. These items will not be accepted at the warehouse and will be returned. This may cause the dogs to hit on your box and that would be a bad thing.
• The required size of the cartons you are shipping down have to be about the size of a record storage box 12 inches on a side and should not weigh more than 20 lbs. (This has been asked personally by Dave Adams who is the owner)

Address your package(s) to:
Disney Cruise Line Warehouse
Guest Name / Stateroom # (GTY, if you don't know what it is when you send the package)
8633 Transport Drive
Orlando, FL 32832
Phone: 407-566-8196

In the bottom left corner of the top of the package put the following information: ATTN: HOUSEKEEPING
*Name
*Sail Date
*Ship
*Stateroom Number
*Packing slip that details contents of the package (for prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient)
• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 7-Night Cruise on the Disney Magic (Saturday).
• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 4-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Sunday).
• Packages must arrive by Wednesday by 3:00pm for the 3-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Thursday).

If your box is hit on by the screening dog or chosen for additional screening they will open the list and the box and look through it. They will close it back up and provided nothing bad is in it then it will be in your room as usual later after boarding. These boxes will be coming on the ship with the crew mail among other things so they may be in the staterooms later then they were before as they are low priority in the scheme of things for Disney.
